    [kjv] Now the Philistines gathered together their armies to battle, and were gathered together at Shochoh, which belongeth to Judah, and pitched between Shochoh and Azekah, in Ephesdammim.
    [strongs] 0622 And gathered 6430 the Philistines 4264 their armies 4421 for battle. 0622 And were gathered 7755 {at} Socoh 0834 which {is} 3063 to Judah 2583 and they camped 0996 between 7755 Socoh 0996 and 5825 Azekah 0425 in Ephes- 0658 dammim.
17:2 [cbb5] 掃羅和以色列人也聚集、在以拉谷安營、擺列隊伍、要與非利士人打仗。
    [kjv] And Saul and the men of Israel were gathered together, and pitched by the valley of Elah, and set the battle in array against the Philistines.

    [kjv] And the Philistines stood on a mountain on the one side, and Israel stood on a mountain on the other side: and there was a valley between them.

    [kjv] And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.

17:5 [cbb5] 頭戴銅盔、身穿鎧甲、甲重五千舍客勒。
    [kjv] And he had an helmet of brass upon his head, and he was armed with a coat of mail; and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of brass.

    [kjv] And he had greaves of brass upon his legs, and a target of brass between his shoulders.

17:7 [cbb5] 槍桿粗如織布的機軸、鐵槍頭重六百舍客勒．有一個拿盾牌的人在他前面走。
    [kjv] And the staff of his spear was like a weaver's beam; and his spear's head weighed six hundred shekels of iron: and one bearing a shield went before him.
    [strongs] 6086 And the wood of 2595 his spear 4500 {was} like a beam of 0707 a weaver 2671 and the blade of 2595 his spear 8337 - 3976 {weighed} six hundred 8255 shekels 1270 of iron, 5325 and he who carried 6793 the shield 1980 went 6440 ahead of him.
17:8 [cbb5] 歌利亞對著以色列的軍隊站立、呼叫說、你們出來擺列隊伍作甚麼呢．我不是非利士人麼．你們不是掃羅的僕人麼．可以從你們中間揀選一人、使他下到我這裡來。
    [kjv] And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set your battle in array? am not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me.

17:9 [cbb5] 他若能與我戰鬥、將我殺死、我們就作你們的僕人．我若勝了他、將他殺死、你們就作我們的僕人、服事我們。
    [kjv] If he be able to fight with me, and to kill me, then will we be your servants: but if I prevail against him, and kill him, then shall ye be our servants, and serve us.

17:10 [cbb5] 那非利士人又說、我今日向以色列人的軍隊罵陣．你們叫一個人出來、與我戰鬥。
    [kjv] And the Philistine said, I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together.

17:11 [cbb5] 掃羅和以色列眾人聽見非利士人的這些話、就驚惶、極其害怕。
    [kjv] When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid.

17:12 [cbb5] 大衛是猶大伯利恆的以法他人耶西的兒子．耶西有八個兒子．當掃羅的時候、耶西已經老邁。
    [kjv] Now David was the son of that Ephrathite of Bethlehemjudah, whose name was Jesse; and he had eight sons: and the man went among men for an old man in the days of Saul.

    [kjv] And the three eldest sons of Jesse went and followed Saul to the battle: and the names of his three sons that went to the battle were Eliab the firstborn, and next unto him Abinadab, and the third Shammah.

17:15 [cbb5] 大衛有時離開掃羅回伯利恆、放他父親的羊。

    [kjv] And Jesse said unto David his son, Take now for thy brethren an ephah of this parched corn, and these ten loaves, and run to the camp of thy brethren;

17:18 [cbb5] 再拿這十塊奶餅、送給他們的千夫長、且問你哥哥們好、向他們要一封信來。
    [kjv] And carry these ten cheeses unto the captain of their thousand, and look how thy brethren fare, and take their pledge.

17:19 [cbb5] 掃羅與大衛的三個哥哥、和以色列眾人、在以拉谷與非利士人打仗。
    [kjv] Now Saul, and they, and all the men of Israel, were in the valley of Elah, fighting with the Philistines.

17:20 [cbb5] 大衛早晨起來、將羊交託一個看守的人、照著他父親所吩咐的話、帶著食物去了．到了輜重營、軍兵剛出到戰場、吶喊要戰。
    [kjv] And David rose up early in the morning, and left the sheep with a keeper, and took, and went, as Jesse had commanded him; and he came to the trench, as the host was going forth to the fight, and shouted for the battle.

17:22 [cbb5] 大衛把他帶來的食物、留在看守物件人的手下、跑到戰場、問他哥哥們安。

    [kjv] And as he talked with them, behold, there came up the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by name, out of the armies of the Philistines, and spake according to the same words: and David heard them.

17:24 [cbb5] 以色列眾人看見那人、就逃跑、極其害怕。
    [kjv] And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore afraid.

17:25 [cbb5] 以色列人彼此說、這上來的人、你看見了麼．他上來、是要向以色列人罵陣．若有能殺他的、王必賞賜他大財、將自己的女兒給他為妻、並在以色列人中、免他父家納糧當差。
    [kjv] And the men of Israel said, Have ye seen this man that is come up? surely to defy Israel is he come up: and it shall be, that the man who killeth him, the king will enrich him with great riches, and will give him his daughter, and make his father's house free in Israel.

17:26 [cbb5] 大衛問站在旁邊的人、說、有人殺這非利士人、除掉以色列人的恥辱、怎樣待他呢．這未受割禮的非利士人是誰呢、竟敢向永生　神的軍隊罵陣麼。
    [kjv] And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?
    [strongs] 0559 And said 1732 David 0413 to 0376 the men 5975 who were standing 0000 with him, 0519 saying, 4100 What 6213 will be done 0376 to the man 0834 who 5221 strikes 6430 Philistine 1975 this 5493 and turns aside 2778 reproach 5921 from 3478 Israel? 3588 For 4310 who {is} 6430 Philistine 6189 uncircumcised 0000 this, 3588 that 2281 he should reproach 4634 the armies of 0430 the God 2416 living?
17:27 [cbb5] 百姓照先前的話回答他說、有人能殺這非利士人、必如此如此待他。
    [kjv] And the people answered him after this manner, saying, So shall it be done to the man that killeth him.
    [strongs] 0559 And said 0000 to him 5971 the people 1697 according to word 0000 this, 0559 saying, 3541 So 6213 it will be done 0376 to the man 0834 who 5221 struck down him.
17:28 [cbb5] 大衛的長兄以利押、聽見大衛與他們所說的話、就向他發怒、說、你下來作甚麼呢．在曠野的那幾隻羊、你交託了誰呢。我知道你的驕傲、和你心裡的惡意．你下來、特為要看爭戰。
    [kjv] And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab's anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why camest thou down hither? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thine heart; for thou art come down that thou mightest see the battle.
    [strongs] 8085 And heard 0446 Eliab 0251 his brother 2205 oldest 1696 when he spoke 0413 to 0376 the men, 2734 and burned 0639 anger 0446 Eliab's 1732 against David, 0559 and he said, 4100 Why 2088 is this 3381 you have come? 5921 And 4310 with whom 5203 have you left 4592 few 6629 sheep 2007 those 4057 in the desert? 0589 I 3045 know 2087 your pride 0853 and 7451 the evil 3588 of your heart, 3588 for 4616 to 7200 see 4421 the battle 3381 you have come down.
17:29 [cbb5] 大衛說、我作了甚麼呢．我來豈沒有緣故麼。
    [kjv] And David said, What have I now done? Is there not a cause?
    [strongs] 0559 And said 1732 David, 4100 What 6213 have I done 6258 now? 3808 Was not {only} 1697 a word 1931 it?
17:30 [cbb5] 大衛就離開他轉向別人、照先前的話而問．百姓仍照先前的話回答他。
    [kjv] And he turned from him toward another, and spake after the same manner: and the people answered him again after the former manner.
    [strongs] 5437 And he turned 0681 from him 0413 toward 4136 - 0312 another, 0559 and said 1697 according to word 0000 this. 7725 And replied to him 5971 the people 1697 a word 1697 like the word 7223 first.
17:31 [cbb5] 有人聽見大衛所說的話、就告訴了掃羅．掃羅便打發人叫他來。
    [kjv] And when the words were heard which David spake, they rehearsed them before Saul: and he sent for him.

17:32 [cbb5] 大衛對掃羅說、人都不必因那非利士人膽怯．你的僕人要去與那非利士人戰鬥。
    [kjv] And David said to Saul, Let no man's heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine.
    [strongs] 0559 And said 1732 David 0413 to 7586 Saul, 0408 not 5307 Let fail 3820 heart 0120 a man's 0000 over him. 5650 Your servant 1980 will go 3898 and will fight 0000 with 6430 Philistine 0000 this.
17:33 [cbb5] 掃羅對大衛說、你不能去與那非利士人戰鬥．因為你年紀太輕、他自幼就作戰士。
    [kjv] And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.

17:34 [cbb5] 大衛對掃羅說、你僕人為父親放羊．有時來了獅子、有時來了熊、從群中啣一隻羊羔去。
    [kjv] And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock:
    [strongs] 0559 And said 1732 David 0413 to 7586 Saul, 7462 a shepherd 1961 has been 5650 Your servant 0001 for his father 6629 among the sheep. 0935 And came 0738 the lion 0853 and 1677 the bear, 5375 and took away 7716 a sheep 5739 out of the flock.
17:35 [cbb5] 我就追趕他、擊打他、將羊羔從他口中救出來．他起來要害我、我就揪著他的鬍子、將他打死。
    [kjv] And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him.
    [strongs] 3318 And I went out 0310 after him 5221 and struck him, 5337 and delivered 6310 from his mouth. 6965 And he rose 5921 against me, 2388 and I took hold 2206 of his beard 5221 and struck him, 4191 and killed him.
17:36 [cbb5] 你僕人曾打死獅子和熊．這未受割禮的非利士人向永生　神的軍隊罵陣、也必像獅子和熊一般。
    [kjv] Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.
    [strongs] 1571 Both 0738 the lion 1571 and 1677 the bear 5221 has struck 5650 your servant, 1961 and will be 6430 Philistine 6189 uncircumcised 0000 this 0259 as one 1992 of them, 3588 for 2778 he has taunted 4634 the armies of 0430 the God 2416 living.
17:37 [cbb5] 大衛又說、耶和華救我脫離獅子和熊的爪、也必救我脫離這非利士人的手。掃羅對大衛說、你可以去罷．耶和華必與你同在。
    [kjv] David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee.
    [strongs] 0559 And said 1732 David, 3068 Yahweh, 0834 who 5337 delivered me 3027 from the paw of 0738 the lion 3027 and from the paw of 1677 the bear, 1931 He 5337 will deliver me 3027 from the hand of 6430 Philistine 0000 this. 0559 And said 7586 Saul 0413 to 1732 David, 3212 Go, 3068 and Yahweh 1961 be 0000 with you.
17:38 [cbb5] 掃羅就把自己的戰衣給大衛穿上、將銅盔給他戴上、又給他穿上鎧甲。
    [kjv] And Saul armed David with his armour, and he put an helmet of brass upon his head; also he armed him with a coat of mail.
    [strongs] 3847 And clothed 7586 Saul 1732 David 4055 with his apparel, 5414 and put 6959 a helmet of 5178 bronze 5921 on 7218 {his} head, 3847 and clothed 0853 him 8302 {with} body-armor.
17:39 [cbb5] 大衛把刀跨在戰衣外、試試能走不能走．因為素來沒有穿慣、就對掃羅說、我穿戴這些不能走．因為素來沒有穿慣。於是摘脫了。
    [kjv] And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go; for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.
    [strongs] 2296 And girded 1732 David 2719 his sword 5921 on 4055 his apparel, 2974 and started 1980 to go, 3588 but 3808 not 5254 he had tested. 0559 And said 1732 David 0413 to 7586 Saul, 3808 not 3201 I am able 1980 to go 0428 with these, 3588 for 3808 not 5254 I have tested. 3493 And took them 1732 David 5921 off him.
17:40 [cbb5] 他手中拿杖、又在溪中挑選了五塊光滑石子、放在袋裡、就是牧人帶的囊裡．手中拿著甩石的機弦、就去迎那非利士人。
    [kjv] And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine.

17:41 [cbb5] 非利士人也漸漸的迎著大衛來．拿盾牌的走在前頭。
    [kjv] And the Philistine came on and drew near unto David; and the man that bare the shield went before him.
    [strongs] 1980 And came 6430 the Philistine, 1980 coming 7131 and drawing near 0413 to 1732 David, 0376 and the man 5375 carrying 6793 the shield 6440 ahead of him.
17:42 [cbb5] 非利士人觀看、見了大衛、就藐視他．因為他年輕、面色光紅、容貌俊美。
    [kjv] And when the Philistine looked about, and saw David, he disdained him: for he was but a youth, and ruddy, and of a fair countenance.
    [strongs] 5027 And looked 6430 the Philistine, 7200 and saw 1732 David 0959 and disdained him, 3588 for 1961 he was 5288 a youth, 0132 and ruddy, 0000 with 3303 a handsome 4758 appearance.
17:43 [cbb5] 非利士人對大衛說、你拿杖到我這裡來、我豈是狗呢。非利士人就指著自己的神、咒詛大衛。
    [kjv] And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.
    [strongs] 0559 And said 6430 the Philistine 0413 to 1732 David, 3611 a dog 0595 Am I, 3588 that 0859 you 0935 have come 0413 to me 4731 with sticks? 7043 And cursed 6430 the Philistine 1732 David 0430 by his gods.
17:44 [cbb5] 非利士人又對大衛說、來罷、我將你的肉給空中的飛鳥、田野的走獸喫。
    [kjv] And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field.
    [strongs] 0559 And said 6430 the Philistine 0413 to 1732 David, 1980 Come 0413 to me, 5414 and I will give 1320 your flesh 5775 to the birds of 8064 the heavens 0929 and to the animals of 7704 the field.
17:45 [cbb5] 大衛對非利士人說、你來攻擊我、是靠著刀槍和銅戟．我來攻擊你、是靠著萬軍之耶和華的名、就是你所怒罵帶領以色列軍隊的　神。

    [kjv] And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth.

17:51 [cbb5] 大衛跑去、站在非利士人身旁、將他的刀從鞘中拔出來、殺死他、割了他的頭。非利士眾人看見他們討戰的勇士死了、就都逃跑。
    [kjv] Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled.

    [kjv] And when Saul saw David go forth against the Philistine, he said unto Abner, the captain of the host, Abner, whose son is this youth? And Abner said, As thy soul liveth, O king, I cannot tell.

    [kjv] And as David returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, Abner took him, and brought him before Saul with the head of the Philistine in his hand.
