14:1 [cbb5] 亞比雅與他列祖同睡、葬在大衛城裡．他兒子亞撒接續他作王。亞撒年間、國中太平十年。
    [kjv] So Abijah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his stead. In his days the land was quiet ten years.
    [strongs] 7901 And lay 0029 Abijah 0000 with 0001 his fathers, 6912 and they buried 0000 him 5892 in the city of 1732 David. 4427 And ruled 0609 Asa 1121 his son 4725 in his place. 3117 In his days 8252 was quiet 0776 the land 6235 ten 8141 years.
14:2 [cbb5] 亞撒行耶和華他　神眼中看為善為正的事．
    [kjv] And Asa did that which was good and right in the eyes of the LORD his God:
    [strongs] 6213 And did 0609 Asa 2896 the good 2477 and the right 5869 in the eyes of 3068 Yahweh 0430 his God.
14:3 [cbb5] 除掉外邦神的壇、和邱壇、打碎柱像、砍下木偶、
    [kjv] For he took away the altars of the strange gods, and the high places, and brake down the images, and cut down the groves:
    [strongs] 5674 And he removed 4196 the altars of 5236 the stranger, 1116 and the high places 5422 and broke down 5982 the pillars, 3772 and cut down 0842 the Asherim.
14:4 [cbb5] 吩咐猶大人尋求耶和華他們列祖的　神、遵行他的律法、誡命．
    [kjv] And commanded Judah to seek the LORD God of their fathers, and to do the law and the commandment.
    [strongs] 6680 And commanded 3063 Judah 1875 to seek 3068 Yahweh, 0430 the God of 0001 their fathers, 6213 and to do 8451 the law 6680 and the command.
14:5 [cbb5] 又在猶大各城邑除掉邱壇、和日像．那時國享太平。
    [kjv] Also he took away out of all the cities of Judah the high places and the images: and the kingdom was quiet before him.
    [strongs] 5674 And he removed 3605 out of all 5892 the cities of 3063 Judah 1116 the high places 0000 and 2553 the incense-altars. 8252 And was quiet 4467 the kingdom 6440 before him.
14:6 [cbb5] 又在猶大建造了幾座堅固城．國中太平數年、沒有戰爭、因為耶和華賜他平安。
    [kjv] And he built fenced cities in Judah: for the land had rest, and he had no war in those years; because the LORD had given him rest.
    [strongs] 1129 And he built 5892 cities 4013 fortified 3063 in Judah, 3588 for 8252 had quiet 0776 the land, 0369 and was not 0000 with him 1961 was 8141 in years 0428 these, 5117 for had given rest 3068 Yahweh 0000 to him.
14:7 [cbb5] 他對猶大人說、我們要建造這些城邑、四圍築牆、蓋樓、安門、作閂．地還屬我們、是因尋求耶和華我們的　神．我們既尋求他、他就賜我們四境平安。於是建造城邑、諸事亨通。
    [kjv] Therefore he said unto Judah, Let us build these cities, and make about them walls, and towers, gates, and bars, while the land is yet before us; because we have sought the LORD our God, we have sought him, and he hath given us rest on every side. So they built and prospered.
    [strongs] 0559 And he said 3063 to Judah, 1129 Let us build 5892 cities 0428 these, 5437 and circle 2346 {with} a wall, 4026 and towers, 1817 gates 1280 and bars, 5750 while {is} 0776 the land 6440 before us, 0000 because 1280 we have sought 3068 Yahweh 0430 our God. 1280 We have sought, 5117 and He has given rest 0000 to us 5439 all around. 1129 And they built 6743 and prospered.
14:8 [cbb5] 亞撒的軍兵、出自猶大拿盾牌拿槍的三十萬人．出自便雅憫拿盾牌拉弓的二十八萬人．這都是大能的勇士。
    [kjv] And Asa had an army of men that bare targets and spears, out of Judah three hundred thousand; and out of Benjamin, that bare shields and drew bows, two hundred and fourscore thousand: all these were mighty men of valour.
    [strongs] 1961 Now there was 0609 to Asa 2428 an army 5375 carrying 4043 shields 7420 and spears, 3063 out of Judah, 7967 three 3963 hundred 0505 thousand. 1144 And out of Benjamin 5375 carrying 4043 shields 8025 and drawing 3766 bows, 3697 two hundred 8084 and eighty 0505 thousand. 3605 all 0428 these 1368 strong men of 2428 valor.
14:9 [cbb5] 有古實王謝拉率領軍兵一百萬、戰車三百輛、出來攻擊猶大人、到了瑪利沙。
    [kjv] And there came out against them Zerah the Ethiopian with an host of a thousand thousand, and three hundred chariots; and came unto Mareshah.
    [strongs] 3318 And came out 0000 against them 2226 Zerah 3568 the Ethiopian 2428 with an army 0505 a thousand 0505 thousands, 7393 and chariots 7969 three 3967 hundred. 0935 And he came 0000 to 4762 Mareshah.
14:10 [cbb5] 於是亞撒出去、與他迎敵、就在瑪利沙的洗法谷、彼此擺陣。
    [kjv] Then Asa went out against him, and they set the battle in array in the valley of Zephathah at Mareshah.
    [strongs] 3318 And went out 0609 Asa 6440 before him, 6186 and they arrayed 4421 {for} battle 1516 in the valley of 6859 Zephathah 4762 at Mareshah.
14:11 [cbb5] 亞撒呼求耶和華他的　神、說、耶和華阿、惟有你能幫助軟弱的、勝過強盛的．耶和華我們的　神阿、求你幫助我們．因為我們仰賴你、奉你的名來攻擊這大軍。耶和華阿、你是我們的　神、不要容人勝過你。
    [kjv] And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O LORD, thou art our God; let no man prevail against thee.
    [strongs] 7121 Then called 0609 Asa 3068 to Yahweh 0430 his God, 0559 and said, 3068 O Yahweh, 0369 there is none 5973 beside You 5826 to help 0996 between 7227 the great 0369 {and} him with no 3581 strength. 5826 Help us, 3068 O Yahweh 0430 our God. 3588 For 0000 upon You 8172 we depend 8034 and in Your name 0935 we have come 0413 against 1995 multitude 0000 this, 3068 O Yahweh, 0430 our God 0859 You {are}. 0408 not 6113 Do let hold back 0000 against You 0582 man.
14:12 [cbb5] 於是耶和華使古實人敗在亞撒和猶大人面前．古實人就逃跑了。
    [kjv] So the LORD smote the Ethiopians before Asa, and before Judah; and the Ethiopians fled.
    [strongs] 5221 And struck 3068 Yahweh 3569 the Ethiopians 6440 before 0609 Asa 6440 and before 3063 Judah, 5127 and fled 3569 the Ethiopians.
14:13 [cbb5] 亞撒和跟隨他的軍兵追趕他們、直到基拉耳．古實人被殺的甚多、不能再強盛．因為敗在耶和華與他軍兵面前．猶大人就奪了許多財物。
    [kjv] And Asa and the people that were with him pursued them unto Gerar: and the Ethiopians were overthrown, that they could not recover themselves; for they were destroyed before the LORD, and before his host; and they carried away very much spoil.
    [strongs] 7291 And pursued them 0609 Asa 5971 and the people 0834 who {were} 0000 with him 5704 as far as 1642 Gerar. 5307 And fell 3569 of the Ethiopians, 0369 for none 0905 there was left to them 2416 alive, 3588 for 7665 they had been broken 6440 before 3068 Yahweh 6440 and before 4264 His army. 5375 And they carried away 7998 plunder 7230 much 3966 very.
14:14 [cbb5] 又打破基拉耳四圍的城邑．耶和華使其中的人、都甚恐懼．猶大人又將所有的城擄掠一空、因其中的財物甚多。
    [kjv] And they smote all the cities round about Gerar; for the fear of the LORD came upon them: and they spoiled all the cities; for there was exceeding much spoil in them.
    [strongs] 5221 And they struck 3605 all 5892 the cities 5430 around 1642 Gerar 0000 because 0935 had come 6343 the fear of 3068 Yahweh 5921 upon them. 0962 And they plundered 3605 all 5892 the cities, 0961 because booty 7230 much 1961 there was 0000 in them.
14:15 [cbb5] 又毀壞了群畜的圈、奪取許多的羊和駱駝、就回耶路撒冷去了。
    [kjv] They smote also the tents of cattle, and carried away sheep and camels in abundance, and returned to Jerusalem.
    [strongs] 1571 And also 0168 the tents of 4735 cattle 5221 they struck 3920 and they captured 6629 sheep 7235 in abundance, 1581 and camels, 7725 and returned to 3389 Jerusalem.
