    [kjv] Now there was long war between the house of Saul and the house of David: but David waxed stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul waxed weaker and weaker.

3:2 [cbb5] 大衛在希伯崙、得了幾個兒子、長子暗嫩、是耶斯列人亞希暖所生的．
    [kjv] And unto David were sons born in Hebron: and his firstborn was Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess;

    [kjv] And his second, Chileab, of Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite; and the third, Absalom the son of Maacah the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur;

    [kjv] And Saul had a concubine, whose name was Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah: and Ishbosheth said to Abner, Wherefore hast thou gone in unto my father's concubine?

3:8 [cbb5] 押尼珥因伊施波設的話、就甚發怒、說、我豈是猶大的狗頭呢．我恩待你父掃羅的家、和他的弟兄、朋友、不將你交在大衛手裡、今日你竟為這婦人責備我麼。
    [kjv] Then was Abner very wroth for the words of Ishbosheth, and said, Am I a dog's head, which against Judah do shew kindness this day unto the house of Saul thy father, to his brethren, and to his friends, and have not delivered thee into the hand of David, that thou chargest me to day with a fault concerning this woman?
    [strongs] 2734 And was angry 0074 Abner 3966 very 5921 over 1697 the words of 0378 Ishbosheth, 0559 and said, 7218 a head 3611 dog's 0595 {Am} I 0000 that {is} 3063 to Judah? 3117 Today 6213 I deal 2617 {with} kindness 1004 with the household of 7586 Saul 0001 your father, 0000 to 0251 his brothers 0000 and to 7451 his friends, 3808 and not 4672 cause you to be found 3027 in hand 1732 David's. 6485 but you charge 5921 against me 5771 a sin 0802 {with} the woman 3117 today?
3:9 [cbb5] 我若不照著耶和華起誓應許大衛的話行、廢去掃羅的位、建立大衛的位、使他治理以色列和猶大、從但直到別是巴、願　神重重的降罰與我。
    [kjv] So do God to Abner, and more also, except, as the LORD hath sworn to David, even so I do to him;

    [kjv] To translate the kingdom from the house of Saul, and to set up the throne of David over Israel and over Judah, from Dan even to Beersheba.

    [kjv] And he could not answer Abner a word again, because he feared him.

3:12 [cbb5] 押尼珥打發人去見大衛、替他說、這國歸誰呢．又說、你與我立約、我必幫助你、使以色列人都歸服你。
    [kjv] And Abner sent messengers to David on his behalf, saying, Whose is the land? saying also, Make thy league with me, and, behold, my hand shall be with thee, to bring about all Israel unto thee.

    [kjv] And he said, Well; I will make a league with thee: but one thing I require of thee, that is, Thou shalt not see my face, except thou first bring Michal Saul's daughter, when thou comest to see my face.

    [kjv] And David sent messengers to Ishbosheth Saul's son, saying, Deliver me my wife Michal, which I espoused to me for an hundred foreskins of the Philistines.

    [kjv] And her husband went with her along weeping behind her to Bahurim. Then said Abner unto him, Go, return. And he returned.

3:17 [cbb5] 押尼珥對以色列長老說、從前你們願意大衛作王治理你們．
    [kjv] And Abner had communication with the elders of Israel, saying, Ye sought for David in times past to be king over you:

3:18 [cbb5] 現在你們可以照心願而行、因為耶和華曾論到大衛說、我必藉我僕人大衛的手、救我民以色列脫離非利士人、和眾仇敵的手。
    [kjv] Now then do it: for the LORD hath spoken of David, saying, By the hand of my servant David I will save my people Israel out of the hand of the Philistines, and out of the hand of all their enemies.

3:19 [cbb5] 押尼珥也用這話、說給便雅憫人聽．又到希伯崙、將以色列人、和便雅憫全家一切所喜悅的事、說給大衛聽。
    [kjv] And Abner also spake in the ears of Benjamin: and Abner went also to speak in the ears of David in Hebron all that seemed good to Israel, and that seemed good to the whole house of Benjamin.

3:20 [cbb5] 押尼珥帶著二十個人、來到希伯崙見大衛．大衛就為押尼珥和他帶來的人、設擺筵席。
    [kjv] So Abner came to David to Hebron, and twenty men with him. And David made Abner and the men that were with him a feast.

3:21 [cbb5] 押尼珥對大衛說、我要起身去招聚以色列眾人來見我主我王、與你立約．你就可以照著心願作王．於是大衛送押尼珥去、押尼珥就平平安安的去了。
    [kjv] And Abner said unto David, I will arise and go, and will gather all Israel unto my lord the king, that they may make a league with thee, and that thou mayest reign over all that thine heart desireth. And David sent Abner away; and he went in peace.
    [strongs] 0559 And said 0074 Abner 1732 to David, 6965 Let me arise 1980 and go 6908 and gather 0000 to 0113 my lord, 4428 the king, 3605 all 3478 Israel, 3772 that they may cut 0000 with you 1285 a covenant, 4427 that you may rule 3605 over all 0183 that desires 5315 your soul. 7971 And sent 1732 David 0074 Abner, 1980 and he went 7965 in peace.
3:22 [cbb5] 約押和大衛的僕人、攻擊敵軍帶回許多的掠物．那時押尼珥不在希伯崙大衛那裡、因大衛已經送他去、他也平平安安的去了。
    [kjv] And, behold, the servants of David and Joab came from pursuing a troop, and brought in a great spoil with them: but Abner was not with David in Hebron; for he had sent him away, and he was gone in peace.
    [strongs] 2009 And look, 5650 the servants of 1732 David 3097 and Joab 0935 came 1416 from chasing a troop, 7998 and spoil 7230 much 0000 with them 5927 they brought. 0074 And Abner 0369 was not 1732 with David 2275 in Hebron, 3588 for 7971 he had sent him 1980 and he had gone 7965 in peace.

    [kjv] When Joab and all the host that was with him were come, they told Joab, saying, Abner the son of Ner came to the king, and he hath sent him away, and he is gone in peace.
    [strongs] 3097 And Joab 3605 and all 6635 the army 0000 that {was} 0000 with him 0935 came. 5046 And they told 3097 Joab, 0559 saying, 0935 came 0074 Abner, 1121 the son of 5369 Ner, 0000 to 4428 the king, 7971 and he has sent him, 1980 and he has gone 7965 in peace.
3:24 [cbb5] 約押去見王說、你這是作甚麼呢、押尼珥來見你、你為何送他去、他就蹤影不見了呢。
    [kjv] Then Joab came to the king, and said, What hast thou done? behold, Abner came unto thee; why is it that thou hast sent him away, and he is quite gone?
    [strongs] 0935 And came 3097 Joab 0000 to 4428 the king, 0559 and said, 4100 What 6213 have you done? 2009 Look, 0935 came 0074 Abner 0000 to you! 4100 Why {is} 0000 this {that} 7971 you sent him away, 3212 and he is gone already?
3:25 [cbb5] 你當曉得尼珥的兒子押尼珥來、是要誆哄你、要知道你的出入、和你一切所行的事。
    [kjv] Thou knowest Abner the son of Ner, that he came to deceive thee, and to know thy going out and thy coming in, and to know all that thou doest.
    [strongs] 3045 You know 0074 Abner 1121 the son of 5369 Ner, 3588 that 6607 to deceive you 0935 he came, 3045 and to know 3318 your going out 0853 and 0935 your coming in, 3045 and to know 3605 all 0834 that 0859 you 6213 do.
3:26 [cbb5] 約押從大衛那裡出來、就打發人去追趕押尼珥、在西拉井追上他、將他帶回來．大衛卻不知道。
    [kjv] And when Joab was come out from David, he sent messengers after Abner, which brought him again from the well of Sirah: but David knew it not.
    [strongs] 5927 And went out 3097 Joab 0000 from 1732 David 7971 and sent 4397 messengers 0310 after 0074 Abner, 7725 and they brought back 0000 him 0953 from the well of 5626 Sirah. 1732 But David 3808 not 3045 did know {it}.
3:27 [cbb5] 押尼珥回到希伯崙、約押領他到城門的甕洞、假作要與他說機密話、就在那裡刺透他的肚腹、他便死了．這是報殺他兄弟亞撒黑的仇。
    [kjv] And when Abner was returned to Hebron, Joab took him aside in the gate to speak with him quietly, and smote him there under the fifth rib, that he died, for the blood of Asahel his brother.

3:28 [cbb5] 大衛聽見了、就說、流尼珥的兒子押尼珥的血、這罪在耶和華面前必永不歸我、和我的國。
    [kjv] And afterward when David heard it, he said, I and my kingdom are guiltless before the LORD for ever from the blood of Abner the son of Ner:

3:29 [cbb5] 願流他血的罪歸到約押頭上、和他父的全家．又願約押家不斷有患漏症的、長大痲瘋的、架𡜍而行的、被刀殺死的、缺乏飲食的。
    [kjv] Let it rest on the head of Joab, and on all his father's house; and let there not fail from the house of Joab one that hath an issue, or that is a leper, or that leaneth on a staff, or that falleth on the sword, or that lacketh bread.

    [kjv] So Joab, and Abishai his brother slew Abner, because he had slain their brother Asahel at Gibeon in the battle.
    [strongs] 3097 And Joab 0052 and Abishai 0251 his brother 2026 killed 0074 Abner 0000 because 4196 he had killed 6214 Asahel 0251 their brother 1391 in Gibeon 4421 in battle.
3:31 [cbb5] 大衛吩咐約押和跟隨他的眾人、說、你們當撕裂衣服、腰束麻布、在押尼珥棺前哀哭．大衛王也跟在棺後。
    [kjv] And David said to Joab, and to all the people that were with him, Rend your clothes, and gird you with sackcloth, and mourn before Abner. And king David himself followed the bier.
    [strongs] 0559 And said 1732 David 0000 to 3097 Joab 0000 and to 3605 all 5971 the people 0000 that {were} 0000 with him, 7167 Tear 0899 your clothes 2296 and gird on 8242 sack-cloth 5594 and mourn 6440 before 0074 Abner. 4428 And King 1732 David 1980 walked 0310 after 4296 the coffin.
3:32 [cbb5] 他們將押尼珥葬在希伯崙．王在押尼珥的墓旁放聲而哭．眾民也都哭了。
    [kjv] And they buried Abner in Hebron: and the king lifted up his voice, and wept at the grave of Abner; and all the people wept.

3:33 [cbb5] 王為押尼珥舉哀、說、押尼珥何竟像愚頑人死呢。
    [kjv] And the king lamented over Abner, and said, Died Abner as a fool dieth?
    [strongs] 6969 And lamented 4428 the king 3588 for 0074 Abner, 0559 and said, 4194 Like 5036 a fool 4191 should die 0074 Abner?
3:34 [cbb5] 你手未曾捆綁、腳未曾鎖住．你死如人死在罪孽之輩手下一樣．於是眾民又為押尼珥哀哭。
    [kjv] Thy hands were not bound, nor thy feet put into fetters: as a man falleth before wicked men, so fellest thou. And all the people wept again over him.
    [strongs] 3027 Your hands 3808 not 0631 were bound 7272 and your feet 3808 not 5178 to bronze {fetters} 5066 were brought! 4191 As one falls 6440 before 1121 sons of 7451 evil 5307 you have fallen! 3254 And again 3605 all 5971 the people 1058 wept 5921 over him.
3:35 [cbb5] 日頭未落的時候、眾民來勸大衛喫飯、但大衛起誓、說、我若在日頭未落以前喫飯、或喫別物、願　神重重的降罰與我。
    [kjv] And when all the people came to cause David to eat meat while it was yet day, David sware, saying, So do God to me, and more also, if I taste bread, or ought else, till the sun be down.
    [strongs] 0935 And came 3605 all 5971 the people 0000 to 1262 cause to eat 1732 David 3899 food 5750 while yet 3117 day. 7650 But swore 1732 David, 0559 saying, 0000 Thus 6213 may do 0000 to me 0430 God 0000 and thus 3254 more 3588 - 0518 if 6440 before 0935 goes in 8121 the sun 2938 I taste 3899 food 0000 or 1697 anything.
3:36 [cbb5] 眾民知道了就都喜悅．凡王所行的、眾民無不喜悅。
    [kjv] And all the people took notice of it, and it pleased them: as whatsoever the king did pleased all the people.

3:37 [cbb5] 那日以色列眾民纔知道殺尼珥的兒子押尼珥、並非出於王意。
    [kjv] For all the people and all Israel understood that day that it was not of the king to slay Abner the son of Ner.

3:38 [cbb5] 王對臣僕說、你們豈不知今日以色列人中、死了一個作元帥的大丈夫麼。
    [kjv] And the king said unto his servants, Know ye not that there is a prince and a great man fallen this day in Israel?

3:39 [cbb5] 我雖然受膏為王、今日還是軟弱．這洗魯雅的兩個兒子比我剛強．願耶和華照著惡人所行的惡報應他。
    [kjv] And I am this day weak, though anointed king; and these men the sons of Zeruiah be too hard for me: the LORD shall reward the doer of evil according to his wickedness.
    [strongs] 0595 And I 3117 today 7390 {am} weak, 4886 though anointed 4428 king. 0376 And men 0428 these 1121 the sons of 6870 Zeruiah {are} 7186 too hard 0000 for me. 7999 May repay 3068 Yahweh 6213 the doer of 7451 the wrong 7451 according to his wrong.
