5:1 [cbb5] 伯沙撒王為他的一千大臣、設擺盛筵、與這一千人對面飲酒．
    [kjv] Belshazzar the king made a great feast to a thousand of his lords, and drank wine before the thousand.
    [strongs] 1113 Belshazzar, 4430 the king, 5648 made 3900 a feast 7229 great 7261 for his nobles, 0506 a thousand, 6903 and in front of 0506 the thousand 2562 wine 8355 he drank.
5:2 [cbb5] 伯沙撒歡飲之間、吩咐人將他父〔父或作袓下同〕尼布甲尼撒、從耶路撒冷殿中所掠的金銀器皿拿來、王與大臣皇后妃嬪、好用這器皿飲酒．
    [kjv] Belshazzar, whiles he tasted the wine, commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem; that the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, might drink therein.
    [strongs] 1113 Belshazzar 0560 commanded 2939 when tasting 2562 the wine, 0858 to bring 3984 the containers of 1722 gold 3702 and silver, 1768 those 5312 had taken 5020 Nebuchadnezzar, 0002 his father, 4481 out of 1965 the temple 1768 which {was} 3390 in Jerusalem, 8355 so that could drink 0000 from them 4430 the king, 7261 and his nobles, 7695 his wives, 3904 and his concubines.
5:3 [cbb5] 於是他們把耶路撒冷　神殿庫房中所掠的金器皿拿來、王和大臣皇后妃嬪、就用這器皿飲酒。
    [kjv] Then they brought the golden vessels that were taken out of the temple of the house of God which was at Jerusalem; and the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, drank in them.
    [strongs] 0116 Then 0858 they brought 3984 the containers of 1722 gold 1768 which 5312 had been taken 4481 out of 1965 the temple, 1768 from 1005 the house of 0426 God, 1768 which {was} 3390 in Jerusalem. 8355 And drank 0000 from them 4430 the king, 7261 and his nobles, 7695 his wives, 3904 and his concubines.
5:4 [cbb5] 他們飲酒、讚美金銀銅鐵木石所造的神。
    [kjv] They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone.

5:5 [cbb5] 當時忽有人的指頭顯出、在王宮與燈臺相對的粉牆上寫字．王看見寫字的指頭、
    [kjv] In the same hour came forth fingers of a man's hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaister of the wall of the king's palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.

5:6 [cbb5] 就變了臉色、心意驚惶、腰骨好像脫節、雙膝彼此相碰、
    [kjv] Then the king's countenance was changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his loins were loosed, and his knees smote one against another.

5:7 [cbb5] 大聲吩咐將用法術的、和迦勒底人、並觀兆的領進來、對巴比倫的哲士說、誰能讀這文字、把講解告訴我、他必身穿紫袍、項帶金鍊、在我國中位列第三．
    [kjv] The king cried aloud to bring in the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers. And the king spake, and said to the wise men of Babylon, Whosoever shall read this writing, and shew me the interpretation thereof, shall be clothed with scarlet, and have a chain of gold about his neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.
    [strongs] 7123 cried 4430 The king 2429 with strength 5954 to bring in 0826 the conjurers, 3779 the Chaldeans, 1505 and the gazers. 6032 answered 4430 The king 0560 and said 2445 to the wise men of 0895 Babylon, 1768 - 3606 Any 0606 man 1768 who 7123 can read 3792 writing 1836 this 6591 and its meaning 2324 declare to me 0711 purple 3848 will be clothed with 2002 and the necklace 1768 of 1722 gold {will be} 5922 around 6676 his neck! 8523 And {as} third 4437 in the kingdom 7981 he will rule.
5:8 [cbb5] 於是王的一切哲士都進來、卻不能讀那文字、也不能把講解告訴王。
    [kjv] Then came in all the king's wise men: but they could not read the writing, nor make known to the king the interpretation thereof.
    [strongs] 0116 Then 5954 came in 3606 all 2445 wise men 4430 the king's. 3809 But not 3546 they were able 3792 the writing 7123 to read 6591 or the meaning 3046 to make known 4430 to the king.
5:9 [cbb5] 伯沙撒王就甚驚惶、臉色改變、他的大臣也都驚奇。
    [kjv] Then was king Belshazzar greatly troubled, and his countenance was changed in him, and his lords were astonied.

5:10 [cbb5] 太后〔或作皇后下同〕因王和他大臣所說的話、就進入宴宮、說、願王萬歲。你心意不要驚惶、臉面不要變色．
    [kjv] Now the queen by reason of the words of the king and his lords came into the banquet house: and the queen spake and said, O king, live for ever: let not thy thoughts trouble thee, nor let thy countenance be changed:
    [strongs] 4433 The queen, 6903 because of 4406 the words of 4430 the king 7261 and his nobles, 1005 to house 4961 the banquet 5954 came. 6032 answered 4433 The queen 0560 and said, 4430 O king, 5957 forever 2418 live! 0409 not 0927 Do let alarm 7476 your thoughts, 2122 and your face 0409 not 8133 let be changed.
5:11 [cbb5] 在你國中有一人、他裡頭有聖神的靈、你父在世的日子、這人心中光明、又有聰明智慧、好像神的智慧．你父尼布甲尼撒王、就是王的父、立他為術士、用法術的、和迦勒底人、並觀兆的領袖．
    [kjv] There is a man in thy kingdom, in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him; whom the king Nebuchadnezzar thy father, the king, I say, thy father, made master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers;
    [strongs] 0383 There is 1400 a man 4437 in your kingdom 1768 - 7308 the spirit of 0426 the gods 6922 holy 0000 in whom {is}! 3118 And in the days of 0002 your father 5094 light, 7924 and insight, 2452 and wisdom 2452 like the wisdom of 0426 {the} gods, 7912 was found 0000 in him. 4430 And King 5020 Nebuchadnezzar, 0002 your father, 7229 chief of 2749 the astrologers, 0826 conjurers, 3779 Chaldeans, {and} 1505 stargazers 6966 appointed him. 0002 Your father 4430 the king.
5:12 [cbb5] 在他裡頭有美好的靈性、又有知識聰明、能圓夢、釋謎語、解疑惑、這人名叫但以理、尼布甲尼撒王又稱他為伯提沙撒．現在可以召他來、他必解明這意思。
    [kjv] Forasmuch as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and shewing of hard sentences, and dissolving of doubts, were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar: now let Daniel be called, and he will shew the interpretation.

5:13 [cbb5] 但以理就被領到王前．王問但以理說、你是被擄之猶大人中的但以理麼．就是我父王從猶大擄來的麼．
    [kjv] Then was Daniel brought in before the king. And the king spake and said unto Daniel, Art thou that Daniel, which art of the children of the captivity of Judah, whom the king my father brought out of Jewry?

5:14 [cbb5] 我聽說你裡頭有神的靈、心中光明、又有聰明和美好的智慧．
    [kjv] I have even heard of thee, that the spirit of the gods is in thee, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom is found in thee.
    [strongs] 8086 Even I have heard 5922 of you, 1768 that 7308 the spirit of 0426 {the} gods {is} 0000 in you. 5094 And light, 7924 and insight, 2452 and wisdom 3493 extraordinary 7912 are found 0000 in you.
5:15 [cbb5] 現在哲士和用法術的、都領到我面前、為叫他們讀這文字、把講解告訴我、無奈他們都不能把講解說出來．
    [kjv] And now the wise men, the astrologers, have been brought in before me, that they should read this writing, and make known unto me the interpretation thereof: but they could not shew the interpretation of the thing:
    [strongs] 3705 And now 5954 have been brought into 6925 the presence of me, 2445 the wise men {and} 0826 the conjurers, 1768 so that 3792 writing 1836 this 7123 they could read, 6591 and its meaning 3046 make known to me. 3809 But not 3546 they were able 6591 the meaning of 4406 the thing 2324 to declare.
5:16 [cbb5] 我聽說你善於講解、能解疑惑．現在你若能讀這文字、把講解告訴我、就必身穿紫袍、項戴金鍊、在我國中位列第三。
    [kjv] And I have heard of thee, that thou canst make interpretations, and dissolve doubts: now if thou canst read the writing, and make known to me the interpretation thereof, thou shalt be clothed with scarlet, and have a chain of gold about thy neck, and shalt be the third ruler in the kingdom.
    [strongs] 0576 But I 8086 have heard 5922 of you, 1768 that 3202 you are able 6591 meanings 6590 to interpret, 7001 and problems 8271 to solve. 3705 Now 2006 if 3202 you are able 3792 the writing 7123 to read, 6591 and its meaning 3046 to reveal to me, 0711 purple 3848 you will be clothed with, 2002 and the necklace 1768 of 1722 gold {will be} 5922 around 6676 your neck, 8531 and {as} third 4437 in the kingdom 7981 you will rule.
5:17 [cbb5] 但以理在王面前回答說、你的贈品可以歸你自己．你的賞賜可以歸給別人．我卻要為王讀這文字、把講解告訴王。
    [kjv] Then Daniel answered and said before the king, Let thy gifts be to thyself, and give thy rewards to another; yet I will read the writing unto the king, and make known to him the interpretation.
    [strongs] 0116 Then 6032 answered 1841 Daniel 0560 and said 6925 in the presence of 4430 the king, 4980 Your gifts 0000 to yourself 1934 let be, 5023 and your presents 0321 to another 3052 give. 1297 Yet 3792 the writing 7123 I will read 4430 to the king, 6591 and the meaning 3046 I will make known to him.
5:18 [cbb5] 王阿、至高的　神曾將國位、大權、榮耀、威嚴、賜與你父尼布甲尼撒．
    [kjv] O thou king, the most high God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy father a kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honour:
    [strongs] 0607 {As for} you, 4430 O king, 0426 the God 5943 Most High 4437 the kingdom, 7238 and greatness, 3367 and majesty, 1923 and splendor 3052 gave 5020 Nebuchadnezzar, 0002 your father.
5:19 [cbb5] 因　神所賜他的大權、各方各國各族的人、都在他面前戰兢恐懼、他可以隨意生殺、隨意升降．
    [kjv] And for the majesty that he gave him, all people, nations, and languages, trembled and feared before him: whom he would he slew; and whom he would he kept alive; and whom he would he set up; and whom he would he put down.

5:20 [cbb5] 但他心高氣傲、靈也剛愎、甚至行事狂傲、就被革去王位、奪去榮耀．
    [kjv] But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him:
    [strongs] 1768 But when 7313 was lifted 3825 his heart, 7308 and his spirit 8631 grew hard 2103 to act insolently, 5182 he was deposed 4481 from 3764 the throne of 4437 his kingdom, 3367 and {his} majesty 5709 was taken away 4481 from him.
5:21 [cbb5] 他被趕出離開世人、他的心變如獸心、與野驢同居、喫草如牛、身被天露滴濕、等他知道至高的　神在人的國中掌權、憑自巳的意旨立人治國。
    [kjv] And he was driven from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild asses: they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven; till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over it whomsoever he will.

5:22 [cbb5] 伯沙撒阿、你是他的兒子、〔或作孫子〕你雖知道這一切、你心仍不自卑、
    [kjv] And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this;
    [strongs] 0607 And you 1247 his son, 1113 O Belshazzar, 3809 not 8214 have humbled 3825 your heart, 3606 even 6903 though 1768 - 3606 all 1836 this 3046 you knew.
5:23 [cbb5] 竟向天上的主自高、使人將他殿中的器皿拿到你面前、你和大臣皇后妃嬪用這器皿飲酒．你又讚美那不能看、不能聽、無知無識金銀銅鐵木石所造的神、卻沒有將榮耀歸與那手中有你氣息、管理你一切行動的　神．
    [kjv] But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified:
    [strongs] 5922 But against 4756 the Lord of 8065 Heaven 7313 you have exalted yourself, 3984 and the containers 1768 of 1005 His house 0858 they have brought 6925 into the presence of you. 0607 And you, 7261 and your nobles, 7695 your wives 3904 and your concubines, 2562 wine 8355 have drunk 0000 with them! 0426 And the gods of 3702 silver 1722 and gold, 5174 {of} bronze, 6523 iron, 0636 wood, 0069 and stone, 1768 which 3809 not 2370 do see, 3809 and not 8086 do hear, 3809 and not 3046 do know, 7624 you have praised! 0426 But the God 1768 which {is} 5396 your life-breath 3028 in whose hand 3606 and all 0735 your ways, 0000 Him 3809 not 1922 you have glorified.
5:24 [cbb5] 因此從　神那裡顯出指頭來、寫這文字。
    [kjv] Then was the part of the hand sent from him; and this writing was written.

5:25 [cbb5] 所寫的文字是彌尼、彌尼、提客勒、烏法珥新．
    [kjv] And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.

5:26 [cbb5] 講解是這樣。彌尼、就是　神已經數算你國的年日到此完畢．
    [kjv] This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it.
    [strongs] 1836 This {is} 6591 meaning 4406 the thing's. 4484 MENE, 4483 has numbered 0426 God 4437 your kingdom 8000 and finished it!
5:27 [cbb5] 提客勒、就是你被稱在天平裡顯出你的虧欠．
    [kjv] TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.
    [strongs] 8625 TEKEL, 8625 You are weighed 3977 on the scales, 7912 and found 2627 lacking!
5:28 [cbb5] 毘勒斯、〔與烏法珥新同義〕就是你的國分裂、歸與瑪代人和波斯人。
    [kjv] PERES; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.
    [strongs] 6537 PERES, 6537 is divided 4437 Your kingdom 3052 and given 4076 to {the} Medes 6540 and Persians!
5:29 [cbb5] 伯沙撒下令、人就把紫袍給但以理穿上、把金鍊給他戴在頸項上、又傳令使他在國中位列第三。
    [kjv] Then commanded Belshazzar, and they clothed Daniel with scarlet, and put a chain of gold about his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.
    [strongs] 0116 Then 0560 commanded 1113 Belshazzar, 3848 and they dressed 1841 Daniel 0711 {with} purple. 2002 And {placed} the necklace 1768 of 1722 gold 5922 around 6676 his neck. 3745 And they proclaimed 5922 about him, 1768 that 1934 he was 7990 ruler 8531 the third 4437 in the kingdom.
5:30 [cbb5] 當夜迦勒底王伯沙撒被殺．
    [kjv] In that night was Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans slain.
    [strongs] 0000 During that 3916 night 6992 was killed 1113 Belshazzar, 4430 the king of 3779 the Chaldeans.
5:31 [cbb5] 瑪代人大利烏、年六十二歲、取了迦勒底國。
    [kjv] And Darius the Median took the kingdom, being about threescore and two years old.
