6:1 [cbb5] 大利烏隨心所願、立一百二十個總督、治理通國。
    [kjv] It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom;
    [strongs] 8232 It seemed good 6925 before 1868 Darius 6966 to set 5922 over 4437 the kingdom 0324 satraps 3969 a hundred 6243 and twenty, 1768 so that 1934 they could be 3606 over the whole 4437 kingdom.
6:2 [cbb5] 又在他們以上立總長三人、（但以理在其中）使總督在他們三人面前回覆事務、免得王受虧損。
    [kjv] And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage.
    [strongs] 5924 And over 4481 them 5632 presidents 8532 three - 1768 - 1841 Daniel {was} 2298 one 4481 of them - 1768 so that 1934 could 0324 satraps 0459 these 3052 give 0000 to them 2941 account, 4430 and the king 3809 not 1934 would 5142 suffer loss.
6:3 [cbb5] 因這但以理有美好的靈性、所以顯然超乎其餘的總長和總督、王又想立他治理通國。
    [kjv] Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

6:4 [cbb5] 那時總長和總督、尋找但以理誤國的把柄、為要參他．只是找不著他的錯誤過失、因他忠心辦事、毫無錯誤過失。
    [kjv] Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.
    [strongs] 0116 Then 5632 the presidents 0324 and the satraps 1934 were 1156 seeking 5931 a pretext 7912 to find 1841 against Daniel 6655 concerning 4437 the kingdom. 3606 But any 5931 pretext 7844 or fault 3809 not 3202 they were able 7912 to find, 3606 - 6903 because 1768 - 0540 trustworthy 1932 he {was}. 3606 And any 7960 error 7844 or fault 3809 not 7912 was found 5922 in him.
6:5 [cbb5] 那些人便說、我們要找參這但以理的把柄、除非在他　神的律法中就尋不著。
    [kjv] Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.
    [strongs] 0116 Then 1400 men 0479 these 0560 said, 1768 - 3809 Not 7912 we will find 1841 against Daniel 1836 this 3606 any 5931 pretext 3861 unless 7912 we find {it} 5922 against him 1882 in the law of 0426 his God.
6:6 [cbb5] 於是總長和總督、紛紛聚集來見王、說、願大利烏王萬歲．
    [kjv] Then these presidents and princes assembled together to the king, and said thus unto him, King Darius, live for ever.
    [strongs] 0116 Then 5632 the presidents 0324 and the satraps 0459 these 7284 gathered together 5922 to 4430 the king, 3652 and thus 0560 they said 0000 to him, 1868 O Darius 4430 King, 5957 forever 2418 live!
6:7 [cbb5] 國中的總長、欽差、總督、謀士、和巡撫、彼此商議、要立一條堅定的禁令．〔或作求王下旨要立一條云云〕三十日內不拘何人、若在王以外或向神或向人求甚麼、就必扔在獅子坑中．
    [kjv] All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.
    [strongs] 3272 took counsel together 3606 All 5632 the presidents of 4437 the kingdom 5460 the prefects, 0324 and the satraps 1907 the royal officials, 6347 and the governors 6966 to establish 6966 a statute 4430 royal, 8624 and to make strong 0633 ban, 1768 that 3606 whoever 1768 - 1156 will ask 1159 a petition 4481 of 3606 any 0426 god 0606 or man 5705 for 3118 days 8533 thirty, 3861 except 4481 from you, 4430 O king, 7412 he will be thrown 1358 into the pit of 0744 lions.
6:8 [cbb5] 王阿、現在求你立這禁令、加蓋玉璽、使禁令決不更改、照瑪代和波斯人的例、是不可更改的。
    [kjv] Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.
    [strongs] 3705 Now, 4430 O king, 6966 establish 0633 the ban 7560 and sign 3792 the document 1768 so that 3809 not 8133 it may be changed 1882 as the law of 4076 the Medes 6540 and Persians, 1768 which 3809 not 5709 does pass away.
6:9 [cbb5] 於是大利烏王立這禁令、加蓋玉璽。
    [kjv] Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the decree.

6:10 [cbb5] 但以理知道這禁令蓋了玉璽、就到自巳家裡、（他樓上的窗戶、開向耶路撒冷）一日三次、雙膝跪在他　神面前、禱告感謝、與素常一樣。
    [kjv] Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

6:11 [cbb5] 那些人就紛紛聚集、見但以理在他　神面前祈禱懇求．
    [kjv] Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.
    [strongs] 0116 Then 1400 men 0479 those 7284 assembled 7912 and found 1841 Daniel 1156 praying 2604 and seeking mercy 6925 in the presence of 0426 his God.
6:12 [cbb5] 他們便進到王前、題王的禁令、說、王阿、三十日內不拘何人、若在王以外或向神或向人求甚麼．必被扔在獅子坑中、王不是在這禁令上蓋了玉璽麼。王回答說、實有這事、照瑪代和波斯人的例、是不可更改的。
    [kjv] Then they came near, and spake before the king concerning the king's decree; Hast thou not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask a petition of any God or man within thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered and said, The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.
    [strongs] 0116 Then 7127 they came near 0560 and spoke 6925 in the presence of 4430 the king 5922 concerning 0633 ban 4430 the king's. 3809 not 0633 a ban 7560 Have you signed 1768 that 3606 any 0606 man 1768 who 1156 will ask 4481 of 3606 any 0426 god 0606 or man 5705 for 3118 days 8533 thirty, 3861 except 4481 from you, 4430 O king, 7412 will be thrown 1358 into the pit of 0744 lions? 6032 answered 4430 The king 0560 and said, 3330 certain 4406 The thing {is}, 1882 by the law of 4076 the Medes 6540 and Persians, 1768 which 3809 not 5709 does pass away.
6:13 [cbb5] 他們對王說、王阿、那被擄之猶大人中的但以理不理你、也不遵你蓋了玉璽的禁令、他竟一日三次祈禱。
    [kjv] Then answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, which is of the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not thee, O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed, but maketh his petition three times a day.

6:14 [cbb5] 王聽見這話、就甚愁煩、一心要救但以理、籌畫解救他、直到日落的時候。
    [kjv] Then the king, when he heard these words, was sore displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him: and he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him.
    [strongs] 0116 Then 4430 the king, 1768 when 4406 the word 8086 he heard, 7690 very 0888 he was displeased 5922 with himself. 5922 And on 1841 Daniel 7761 he set 1079 {his} heart 7804 to deliver him. 5705 And until 4606 the going {down} of 8122 the sun 1934 he was 7712 striving 6739 to deliver him.
6:15 [cbb5] 那些人就紛紛聚集來見王、說、王阿、當知道瑪代人和波斯人有例、凡王所立的禁令、和律例、都不可更改。
    [kjv] Then these men assembled unto the king, and said unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is, That no decree nor statute which the king establisheth may be changed.
    [strongs] 0116 Then 1400 men 0479 those 7284 assembled 5922 in the presence of 4430 the king 0560 and said 4430 to the king, 3046 Know, 4430 O king, 1768 that 1882 the law 4076 of {the} Medes 6540 and Persians 1768 {is} that 3606 every 0633 ban 7010 and statute 1768 which 4430 the king 6966 establishes 3809 not 8133 may be changed.
6:16 [cbb5] 王下令、人就把但以理帶來、扔在獅子坑中．王對但以理說、你所常事奉的　神、他必救你。
    [kjv] Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.
    [strongs] 0116 Then 4430 the king 0560 ordered, 0858 And they brought 1841 Daniel 7412 and threw {him} 1358 into the pit 1768 of 0744 the lions. 6032 answered 4430 The king 0560 and said 1841 to Daniel, 0426 Your God, 1768 whom 0607 you 6399 serve 0000 - 8411 constantly, 1932 He 7804 will deliver you!
6:17 [cbb5] 有人搬石頭放在坑口、王用自巳的璽、和大臣的印、封閉那坑、使懲辦但以理的事、毫無更改。
    [kjv] And a stone was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel.
    [strongs] 0858 And was brought 0069 stone 2298 a 7760 and laid 5922 over 6433 the mouth of 1358 the pit. 2857 And sealed it 4430 the king 5824 with his signet, 5824 and with the signet of 7261 his nobles, 1768 that 3809 not 8133 could change 6640 the affair 1841 concerning Daniel.
6:18 [cbb5] 王回宮、終夜禁食、無人拿樂器到他面前．並且睡不著覺。
    [kjv] Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of musick brought before him: and his sleep went from him.
    [strongs] 0116 Then 0236 went 4430 the king 1965 to his palace 0956 and spent the night 2908 fasting. 1761 And diversions 3809 not 5954 were brought 6925 into the presence of him. 8139 But his sleep 5075 escaped 5922 from him.
6:19 [cbb5] 次日黎明、王就起來、急忙往獅子坑裡去、
    [kjv] Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions.
    [strongs] 0116 Then 4430 the king 8238 in the dawn 6966 arose 5053 in the daylight, 0927 and in haste 1358 to the pit 1768 of 0744 the lions 0236 went.
6:20 [cbb5] 臨近坑邊、哀聲呼叫但以理、對但以理說、永生　神的僕人但以理阿、你所常事奉的　神能救你脫離獅子麼。
    [kjv] And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?
    [strongs] 7127 And when he drew near 1358 to the pit, 1841 to Daniel 7032 with a voice 6088 sorrowful 2200 he cried. 6032 answered 4430 The king 0560 and said 1841 to Daniel, 1841 O Daniel! 5649 Servant of 0426 the God 2417 living, 0426 your God 1768 whom 0607 you 6399 serve 0000 - 8411 constantly, 3202 was He able 7804 to deliver you 4481 from 0744 the lions?
6:21 [cbb5] 但以理對王說、願王萬歲。
    [kjv] Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever.

6:22 [cbb5] 我的　神差遣使者、封住獅子的口、叫獅子不傷我、因我在　神面前無辜、我在王面前也沒有行過虧損的事。
    [kjv] My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.
    [strongs] 0426 My God 7972 has sent 4398 His angel, 5463 and He has shut 6433 mouths 0744 the lions'! 3809 And not 2255 they have harmed me 3606 - 6903 because 1768 - 6925 in the presence of Him 2136 innocence 7912 was found 0000 in me. 0638 And also 6925 in the presence of you 4430 O king, 2248 harm 3809 not 5648 I have done.
6:23 [cbb5] 王就甚喜樂、吩咐人將但以理從坑裡縏上來．於是但以理從坑裡被繫上來．身上毫無傷損、因為信靠他的　神。
    [kjv] Then was the king exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.
    [strongs] 0116 Then was 4430 the king 7690 greatly 2868 glad 5922 for him. 1841 And {for} Daniel 0560 he said 5267 to bring up 4481 from 1358 the pit, 5267 and was brought 1841 Daniel 4481 out of 1358 the pit, 3606 and any 2257 harm 3809 not 7912 was found 0000 on him, 1768 because 0540 he trusted 0426 in his God.
6:24 [cbb5] 王下令、人就把那些控告但以理的人、連他們的妻子兒女都帶來、扔在獅子坑中．他們還沒有到坑底、獅子就抓住他們、〔抓住原文作勝了〕咬碎他們的骨頭。
    [kjv] And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den.
    [strongs] 0560 And ordered 4430 the king, 0858 and they brought 1400 men 0479 those 1768 who 0399 had chewed 7170 the bits 1768 of 1841 Daniel. 1358 And into the pit of 0744 the lions 7412 they threw 0581 them, 1123 their sons, 5389 and their wives. 3809 And not 4291 they did reach 0773 to the bottom of 1358 the pit 5705 before 1768 - 7981 overpowered 0000 them 0744 the lions. 3606 And all 1635 their bones 1855 they crushed.
6:25 [cbb5] 那時大利烏王傳旨、曉諭住在全地、各方各國各族的人、說、願你們大享平安．
    [kjv] Then king Darius wrote unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you.
    [strongs] 0116 Then 1868 Darius 4430 King 3790 wrote 3606 to all 5972 the peoples, 0524 the nations, 3961 and the languages 1768 who 1753 were living 3606 in all 0772 the earth. 8001 Your peace 7680 be increased!
6:26 [cbb5] 現在我降旨曉諭我所統轄的全國人民、要在但以理的　神面前、戰兢恐懼、因為他是永遠長存的活　神、他的國永不敗壞、他的權柄永存無極．
    [kjv] I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.
    [strongs] 4481 From 6925 before me 7761 was given 2942 a decree, 1768 that 3606 in all 7985 domain 4437 my kingdom's, 1934 {men} will 2112 tremble 1763 and fear 4481 - 6925 in the presence of 0426 the God 1768 of 1841 Daniel. 1768 For 1932 He {is} 0426 the God 2417 living 7011 and enduring 5957 forever, 4437 and His kingdom 1768 - 3809 {is} the one which 2255 not will be destroyed, 7985 and His dominion 5705 {will be} to 5491 the end.
6:27 [cbb5] 他護庇人、搭救人、在天上地下施行神蹟奇事、救了但以理脫離獅子的口。
    [kjv] He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.
    [strongs] 7804 He delivers 5338 and rescues, 5648 and He works 0852 signs 8540 and wonders 8065 in the heavens 0772 and in the earth. 1768 Who 7804 has delivered 1841 Daniel 4481 from 3028 the paw of 0744 the lions.
6:28 [cbb5] 如此、這但以理當大利烏王在位的時候、和波斯王古列在位的時候、大享亨通。
    [kjv] So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.
    [strongs] 1841 So Daniel 1836 this 6744 was made to prosper 4437 in the rule of 1868 Darius, 4437 and in the rule of 3567 Cyrus, 6543 the Persian.
