6:1 [cbb5] 我見日光之下有一宗禍患、重壓在人身上．
    [kjv] There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, and it is common among men:

6:2 [cbb5] 就是人蒙　神賜他貲財、豐富、尊榮、以致他心裡所願的一樣都不缺、只是　神使他不能喫用、反有外人來喫用．這是虛空、也是禍患。
    [kjv] A man to whom God hath given riches, wealth, and honour, so that he wanteth nothing for his soul of all that he desireth, yet God giveth him not power to eat thereof, but a stranger eateth it: this is vanity, and it is an evil disease.
    [strongs] 0376 A man 0834 whom 5414 has given 0000 to him 0430 God 6239 riches, 5233 and treasures 3519 and honor, 0369 so that nothing 2638 he lacks 5315 for his soul 3605 of all 0834 that 0183 he desires, 3808 yet not 7980 does give him power 0430 God 0398 to eat 4480 of it, 3588 but 0376 a man 5237 foreign 0398 eats it, 2088 this {is} 1892 vanity, 2483 and disease 7451 an evil 1931 it {is}.
6:3 [cbb5] 人若生一百個兒子、活許多歲數、以致他的年日甚多、心裡卻不得滿享福樂、又不得埋葬．據我說、那不到期而落的胎比他倒好．
    [kjv] If a man beget an hundred children, and live many years, so that the days of his years be many, and his soul be not filled with good, and also that he have no burial; I say, that an untimely birth is better than he.

6:4 [cbb5] 因為虛虛而來、暗暗而去、名字被黑暗遮蔽．
    [kjv] For he cometh in with vanity, and departeth in darkness, and his name shall be covered with darkness.

6:5 [cbb5] 並且沒有見過天日、也毫無知覺．這胎、比那人倒享安息。
    [kjv] Moreover he hath not seen the sun, nor known any thing: this hath more rest than the other.

6:6 [cbb5] 那人雖然活千年、再活千年、卻不享福、眾人豈不都歸一個地方去麼。

6:7 [cbb5] 人的勞碌都為口腹、心裡卻不知足。
    [kjv] All the labour of man is for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled.

6:8 [cbb5] 這樣看來、智慧人比愚昧人有甚麼長處呢．窮人在眾人面前知道如何行、有甚麼長處呢。
    [kjv] For what hath the wise more than the fool? what hath the poor, that knoweth to walk before the living?

6:9 [cbb5] 眼睛所看的、比心裡妄想的倒好．這也是虛空、也是捕風。
    [kjv] Better is the sight of the eyes than the wandering of the desire: this is also vanity and vexation of spirit.

6:10 [cbb5] 先前所有的、早已起了名．並知道何為人．他也不能與那比自己力大的相爭。
    [kjv] That which hath been is named already, and it is known that it is man: neither may he contend with him that is mightier than he.
    [strongs] 4100 Whatever 1961 has been 3528 already 7121 was called 8034 its name, 3045 and it is known 0834 that 1931 he {is} 0120 man. 3808 And not 3201 he is able 1777 to contend 5973 with 8623 Him that is stronger 4480 than he.
6:11 [cbb5] 加增虛浮的事既多、這與人有甚麼益處呢。
    [kjv] Seeing there be many things that increase vanity, what is man the better?
    [strongs] 3588 Since 3426 there are 1697 things 7235 many 7235 that increase 1892 vanity, 4100 what {is} 3148 the advantage 0120 to man?
6:12 [cbb5] 人一生虛度的日子、就如影兒經過．誰知道甚麼與他有益呢．誰能告訴他身後在日光之下有甚麼事呢。
    [kjv] For who knoweth what is good for man in this life, all the days of his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow? for who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun?
    [strongs] 3588 For 4310 who 3045 knows 4100 what 2896 {is} good 0120 for man 2416 in {this} life, 4557 the number of 3117 days of 2416 the life of 1892 his vain. 6213 And he does them 6738 as the shadow. 0834 For 4310 who 5046 can tell 0120 a man 4100 what 1961 will be 0310 after him 8478 under 8121 the sun?
