4:1	[cbb5]	末底改知道所作的這一切事、就撕裂衣服、穿麻衣、蒙灰塵、在城中行走、痛哭哀號．
	[kjv]	When Mordecai perceived all that was done, Mordecai rent his clothes, and put on sackcloth with ashes, and went out into the midst of the city, and cried with a loud and a bitter cry;

4:2	[cbb5]	到了朝門前停住腳步．因為穿麻衣的不可進朝門。
	[kjv]	And came even before the king's gate: for none might enter into the king's gate clothed with sackcloth.
	[strongs]	0935 And he came 5704 as far 6440 as 8179 Gate 4428 the King's, 0369 because was no 0935 entering 8179 the gate of 4428 the king 3847 clothed with 8242 sack-cloth.
4:3	[cbb5]	王的諭旨所到的各省各處、猶大人大大悲哀、禁食哭泣哀號．穿麻衣躺在灰中的甚多。
	[kjv]	And in every province, whithersoever the king's commandment and his decree came, there was great mourning among the Jews, and fasting, and weeping, and wailing; and many lay in sackcloth and ashes.
	[strongs]	6256 And in 3605 every 4082 province 4725 at the place 5073 ever 1697 word 4428 the king's 1881 and his law 5060 was touching, 0060 {there was} mourning 1419 great 3064 among the Jews, 6685 and fasting, 1065 and weeping 4553 and wailing. 8242 Sack-cloth 0665 and ash 3331 were spread 7227 on many.
4:4	[cbb5]	王后以斯帖的宮女和太監來把這事告訴以斯帖、他甚是憂愁．就送衣服給末底改穿、要他脫下麻衣、他卻不受。
	[kjv]	So Esther's maids and her chamberlains came and told it her. Then was the queen exceedingly grieved; and she sent raiment to clothe Mordecai, and to take away his sackcloth from him: but he received it not.
	[strongs]	0935 And came 5291 the maids of 0635 Esther 5631 and her eunuchs 5046 and told 0000 to her, 2342 and writhed in pain 1377 the queen 3966 exceedingly. 7971 And she sent 0899 clothing 3847 to clothe 4782 Mordecai, 5493 and to turn away 8242 his sack-cloth 0000 from on him. 3808 But not 6901 he did accept.
4:5	[cbb5]	以斯帖就把王所派伺候他的一個太監、名叫哈他革召來、吩咐他去見末底改、要知道這是甚麼事、是甚麼緣故．
	[kjv]	Then called Esther for Hatach, one of the king's chamberlains, whom he had appointed to attend upon her, and gave him a commandment to Mordecai, to know what it was, and why it was.
	[strongs]	7121 Then called 0635 Esther 2047 for Hatachi, 5631 from the eunuchs of 4428 the king, 0834 who 5975 was caused to stand 6440 in front of her, 6680 and she charged him 5568 about 4782 Mordecai 3045 to know 2088 what this {was} 0000 and 2088 why this {was}.
4:6	[cbb5]	於是哈他革出到朝門前的寬闊處見末底改．
	[kjv]	So Hatach went forth to Mordecai unto the street of the city, which was before the king's gate.

4:7	[cbb5]	末底改將自己所遇的事、並哈曼為滅絕猶大人應許捐入王庫的銀數、都告訴了他．
	[kjv]	And Mordecai told him of all that had happened unto him, and of the sum of the money that Haman had promised to pay to the king's treasuries for the Jews, to destroy them.
	[strongs]	5046 And told 0000 to him 4782 Mordecai 3605 all 8034 that 7136 had happened 0000 to him, 0000 and 6575 at the sum of 3701 the silver 0834 which 0559 said 2001 Haman 8254 to weigh 1595 to treasuries 4428 the king's 3064 for the Jews 0006 in order to destroy them.
4:8	[cbb5]	又將所抄寫傳遍書珊城要滅絕猶大人的旨意交給哈他革、要給以斯帖看、又要給他說明、並囑咐他進去見王、為本族的人、在王面前懇切祈求。
	[kjv]	Also he gave him the copy of the writing of the decree that was given at Shushan to destroy them, to shew it unto Esther, and to declare it unto her, and to charge her that she should go in unto the king, to make supplication unto him, and to make request before him for her people.

4:9	[cbb5]	哈他革回來、將末底改的話告訴以斯帖．
	[kjv]	And Hatach came and told Esther the words of Mordecai.

4:10	[cbb5]	以斯帖就吩咐哈他革去見末底改說、
	[kjv]	Again Esther spake unto Hatach, and gave him commandment unto Mordecai;
	[strongs]	0559 Again spoke 0635 Esther 2047 to Hatach 6680 and ordered him. 3588 For 4782 Mordecai-
4:11	[cbb5]	王的一切臣僕、和各省的人民、都知道有一個定例、若不蒙召、擅入內院見王的、無論男女必被治死．除非王向他伸出金杖、不得存活．現在我沒有蒙召進去見王已經三十日了。
	[kjv]	All the king's servants, and the people of the king's provinces, do know, that whosoever, whether man or women, shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called, there is one law of his to put him to death, except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden sceptre, that he may live: but I have not been called to come in unto the king these thirty days.

4:12	[cbb5]	人就把以斯帖這話告訴末底改。
	[kjv]	And they told to Mordecai Esther's words.
	[strongs]	5046 And they told 4782 to Mordecai 1697 the words of 0635 Esther.
4:13	[cbb5]	末底改託人回覆以斯帖說、你莫想在王宮裡強過一切猶大人、得免這禍．
	[kjv]	Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king's house, more than all the Jews.
	[strongs]	0559 And said 4782 Mordecai 7725 to take back 0413 to 0635 Esther, 0408 not 1819 Do imagine 5315 within yourself 4422 to deliver yourself 1004 in house 4428 the king's 3605 more than all 3064 the Jews.
4:14	[cbb5]	此時你若閉口不言、猶大人必從別處得解脫、蒙拯救、你和你父家、必致滅亡．焉知你得了王后的位分、不是為現今的機會麼。
	[kjv]	For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
	[strongs]	3588 For 0518 if 3617 completely 2790 you are silent 6256 at time 0000 this, 7309 relief 8668 and deliverance 6965 will arise 3064 for the Jew 4705 from place 0312 another, 0000 but you 1004 and household 0001 your father's 0006 will perish. 4310 And who 3045 knows 0518 if 6256 for a time 2088 like this 5060 you have laid a hand 4438 to the kingdom.
4:15	[cbb5]	以斯帖就吩咐人回報末底改說、
	[kjv]	Then Esther bade them return Mordecai this answer,
	[strongs]	0559 And said 0635 Esther 7725 to take back 0413 to 4782 Mordecai,
4:16	[cbb5]	你當去招聚書珊城所有的猶大人、為我禁食三晝三夜、不喫不喝．我和我的宮女、也要這樣禁食．然後我違例進去見王．我若死就死罷。
	[kjv]	Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.
	[strongs]	1980 Go, 3664 gather together 3605 all 3064 the Jews 4672 being found 7800 in Shushan, 6684 and fast 0000 for me, 0408 and not 0398 let you eat 0408 not 8354 drink 7967 three 3117 days, 3915 night 3117 and day. 1571 Also 0589 I 5291 and my maidens 6684 will fast 3651 in the same way. 3651 And so 0935 I will go in 0413 to 4428 the king, 0834 which {is} 3808 not 1881 by the law, 0834 and if 0006 I have perished, 0006 I have perished.
4:17	[cbb5]	於是末底改照以斯帖一切所吩咐的去行。
	[kjv]	So Mordecai went his way, and did according to all that Esther had commanded him.
	[strongs]	5674 And passed over 4782 Mordecai, 0559 and did 3605 according to all 0834 that 6680 had commanded 0000 him 0635 Esther.
