17:1 [cbb5] 耶和華的話臨到我說、
    [kjv] And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
    [strongs] 1961 And was 1697 the word of 3068 Yahweh 0000 to me, 0559 saying,
17:2 [cbb5] 人子阿、你要向以色列家出謎語、設比喻、
    [kjv] Son of man, put forth a riddle, and speak a parable unto the house of Israel;
    [strongs] 1121 Son of 0120 man, 7971 put forth 2420 a riddle 1696 and speak 4912 a parable 0000 to 1004 the household of 3478 Israel.
17:3 [cbb5] 說、主耶和華如此說、有一大鷹、翅膀大、翎毛長、羽毛豐滿、彩色俱備、來到利巴嫩、將香柏樹梢擰去．
    [kjv] And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; A great eagle with great wings, longwinged, full of feathers, which had divers colours, came unto Lebanon, and took the highest branch of the cedar:
    [strongs] 0559 And say, 3541 Thus 0559 says 0136 the Lord 3068 Yahweh, 5404 An eagle 1419 great 1419 {with} great 3671 wings, 0754 long of 0083 pinion 4390 {and} full of 5133 feathers, 0834 which was 0000 to him 7553 different colors, 0935 came 0413 to 3844 Lebanon 3947 and took 7218 the top of 0730 the cedar.
17:4 [cbb5] 就是折去香柏樹儘尖的嫩枝、叼到貿易之地、放在買賣城中．
    [kjv] He cropped off the top of his young twigs, and carried it into a land of traffick; he set it in a city of merchants.
    [strongs] 3242 The chief of its young twigs 6998 He plucked off 0935 and brought it 0413 into 0776 a land 3667 of traders! 5892 In a city of 5503 merchants 7760 he set it.
17:5 [cbb5] 又將以色列地的枝子、栽於肥田裡、插在大水旁、如插柳樹。
    [kjv] He took also of the seed of the land, and planted it in a fruitful field; he placed it by great waters, and set it as a willow tree.
    [strongs] 3947 He also took 2233 of the seed of 0776 the land 5193 and planted it 7704 in a field of 2233 seed. 3947 He took {it} 4325 by waters 1419 great. 6851 {As} a willow 7760 he set it.
17:6 [cbb5] 就漸漸生長、成為蔓延矮小的葡萄樹．其枝轉向那鷹、其根在鷹以下、於是成了葡萄樹、生出枝子、發出小枝。
    [kjv] And it grew, and became a spreading vine of low stature, whose branches turned toward him, and the roots thereof were under him: so it became a vine, and brought forth branches, and shot forth sprigs.
    [strongs] 6779 And it sprouted 1961 and became 1612 a vine 6576 spreading, 8217 low {of stature}, 6967 {and} turned 6440 to face 1808 its branches 0000 toward him, 8330 and its roots 8478 under him 1961 were. 1961 So it became 1612 a vine 8384 and made 8299 branches 7971 and sent out 6288 boughs.
17:7 [cbb5] 又有一大鷹、翅膀大、羽毛多、這葡萄樹從栽種的畦中、向這鷹彎過根來、發出枝子、好得他的澆灌。
    [kjv] There was also another great eagle with great wings and many feathers: and, behold, this vine did bend her roots toward him, and shot forth her branches toward him, that he might water it by the furrows of her plantation.
    [strongs] 1961 Also was 5404 eagle 0312 another 1419 great 1419 {with} great 3671 wings 7227 and many 5133 feathers. 2009 And look, 1612 vine 0000 this 1869 bent 8330 its roots 0000 toward him 1808 and its branches 7971 sent out 0000 to him, 4325 to water 1961 it, 6170 away from the beds of 4302 its planting.
17:8 [cbb5] 這樹栽於肥田多水的旁邊、好生枝子、結果子、成為佳美的葡萄樹。
    [kjv] It was planted in a good soil by great waters, that it might bring forth branches, and that it might bear fruit, that it might be a goodly vine.
    [strongs] 7704 In a field 2896 good 4325 by waters 1419 great 1961 it 8362 was planted, 6213 to make 8299 branches, 3205 and to produce 6529 fruit, 1961 to be 1612 a vine 0155 splendid.
17:9 [cbb5] 你要說、主耶和華如此說、這葡萄樹豈能發旺呢．鷹豈不拔出他的根來、芟除他的果子、使他枯乾、使他發的嫩葉都枯乾了麼．也不用大力和多民、就拔出他的根來。
    [kjv] Say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Shall it prosper? shall he not pull up the roots thereof, and cut off the fruit thereof, that it wither? it shall wither in all the leaves of her spring, even without great power or many people to pluck it up by the roots thereof.
    [strongs] 0559 Say, 3541 Thus 0559 says 0136 the Lord 3068 Yahweh, 6743 Will it prosper? 3808 Will he not 8330 its roots 5423 pull up 0000 and 6529 its fruits 7112 cut off, 3001 and wither it? 3605 All 2964 the leaves of 6780 its sprouting 5243 will wither, 3808 and not 2220 with arm 1419 great, 5971 nor by people 7227 many, 6965 to raise 1961 it 8328 by its roots.
17:10 [cbb5] 葡萄樹雖然栽種、豈能發旺呢、一經東風、豈不全然枯乾麼、必在生長的畦中枯乾了。
    [kjv] Yea, behold, being planted, shall it prosper? shall it not utterly wither, when the east wind toucheth it? it shall wither in the furrows where it grew.
    [strongs] 2009 And look, 8382 being planted, 6743 will it prosper? 3808 Will it not 5060 when touches 1961 it 7307 the wind 6921 east 5034 wither 4229 utterly? 6256 In 6170 the beds 6780 {where} it sprouted 3001 it will wither.
17:11 [cbb5] 耶和華的話臨到我說、
    [kjv] Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
    [strongs] 0935 And came 1697 the word of 3068 Yahweh 0000 to me, 0559 saying,
17:12 [cbb5] 你對那悖逆之家說、你們不知道這些事是甚麼意思麼．你要告訴他們說、巴比倫王曾到耶路撒冷、將其中的君王和首領帶到巴比倫自己那裡去．
    [kjv] Say now to the rebellious house, Know ye not what these things mean? tell them, Behold, the king of Babylon is come to Jerusalem, and hath taken the king thereof, and the princes thereof, and led them with him to Babylon;
    [strongs] 0559 Say 4994 now 1004 to the house 4805 rebellious, 3808 Do not 3045 you know 4100 what 0428 these {mean}? 1696 Speak. 2009 Listen, 0935 has come 4428 the king of 0894 Babylon 3389 to Jerusalem 3947 and has taken 4428 its kings 0000 and 8269 its rulers 0935 and brought 0000 them 0000 to himself 0894 at Babylon.
17:13 [cbb5] 從以色列的宗室中取一人與他立約、使他發誓、並將國中有勢力的人擄去．
    [kjv] And hath taken of the king's seed, and made a covenant with him, and hath taken an oath of him: he hath also taken the mighty of the land:
    [strongs] 3947 And he took 2233 of the seed 4410 royal 3772 and has cut 0000 with him 1285 a covenant 0935 and made enter 0000 him 7621 into an oath. 0000 And 0352 the strong of 0776 the land 3947 he took.
17:14 [cbb5] 使國低微不能自強、惟因守盟約得以存立。
    [kjv] That the kingdom might be base, that it might not lift itself up, but that by keeping of his covenant it might stand.
    [strongs] 1961 So that could be 4467 the kingdom 8217 low, 1115 not that 5375 it could lift itself. 8104 To keep 1285 its covenant, 5975 that it could stand.
17:15 [cbb5] 他卻背叛巴比倫王、打發使者往埃及去、要他們給他馬匹和多民．他豈能亨通呢、行這樣事的人、豈能逃脫呢、他背約豈能逃脫呢。
    [kjv] But he rebelled against him in sending his ambassadors into Egypt, that they might give him horses and much people. Shall he prosper? shall he escape that doeth such things? or shall he break the covenant, and be delivered?
    [strongs] 4775 But he rebelled 0000 against him 7971 in sending 4397 his messengers 4714 to Egypt, 5414 to give 0000 to him 5483 horses 5971 and people 7227 many. 6743 Will he prosper? 4422 Will he escape 6213 who does 0428 these {things}? 6565 Or will he break 1285 the covenant 4422 and be delivered?
17:16 [cbb5] 他輕看向王所起的誓、背棄王與他所立的約．主耶和華說、我指著我的永生起誓、他定要死在立他作王巴比倫王的京都。
    [kjv] As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely in the place where the king dwelleth that made him king, whose oath he despised, and whose covenant he brake, even with him in the midst of Babylon he shall die.
    [strongs] 2421 {As} I live, 5002 states 0136 the Lord 3068 Yahweh, 0518 Surely 3808 - 4725 in the place of 4428 the king 4427 who made king 0000 him, 0000 of whom 6978 he despised 7621 his oath 0000 and of whom 7665 he broke 1285 his covenant. 0000 With him 8432 in the midst of 0894 Babylon 4191 he will die.
17:17 [cbb5] 敵人築壘造臺、與他打仗的時候、為要剪除多人、法老雖領大軍隊、和大群眾、還是不能幫助他。
    [kjv] Neither shall Pharaoh with his mighty army and great company make for him in the war, by casting up mounts, and building forts, to cut off many persons:
    [strongs] 3808 And not 2428 with army 1419 great 5712 and company 1419 great 6213 will work 0000 for him 6547 Pharaoh 4421 in the war, 8210 by pouring out 5550 mounds 1129 and building 1785 siege walls 3772 to cut off 5315 souls 7227 many.
17:18 [cbb5] 他輕看誓言、背棄盟約、已經投降、卻又作這一切的事、他必不能逃脫。
    [kjv] Seeing he despised the oath by breaking the covenant, when, lo, he had given his hand, and hath done all these things, he shall not escape.
    [strongs] 0959 And he has despised 0422 the oath 6565 by breaking 1285 the covenant 2009 and listen, 5414 he had given 3027 his hand, 3605 and all 0428 these 6213 he has done, 3808 not 4422 he will escape.
17:19 [cbb5] 所以主耶和華如此說、我指著我的永生起誓、他既輕看指我所起的誓、背棄指我所立的約、我必要使這罪歸在他頭上。
    [kjv] Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; As I live, surely mine oath that he hath despised, and my covenant that he hath broken, even it will I recompense upon his own head.
    [strongs] 0000 Therefore, 3541 thus 0559 says 0136 the Lord 3068 Yahweh, 2421 {As} I live 0518 surely 3808 - 0422 My oath 0000 that 0959 he has despised, 1285 and My covenant 0000 that 6565 he has broken, 5414 I will even give it 7218 on his head.
17:20 [cbb5] 我必將我的網撒在他身上、他必在我的網羅中纏住、我必帶他到巴比倫、並要在那裡因他干犯我的罪刑罰他。
    [kjv] And I will spread my net upon him, and he shall be taken in my snare, and I will bring him to Babylon, and will plead with him there for his trespass that he hath trespassed against me.
    [strongs] 2219 And I will spread 0000 on him 7568 My net, 8610 and he will be taken 4486 in My snare, 7126 and I will bring him 0894 to Babylon, 8199 and I will judge 0000 him 8033 there 4603 with his treason 0834 which 4604 he has betrayed 0000 against Me.
17:21 [cbb5] 他的一切軍隊、凡逃跑的、都必倒在刀下、所剩下的、也必分散四方．〔方原文作風〕你們就知道說這話的是我耶和華。
    [kjv] And all his fugitives with all his bands shall fall by the sword, and they that remain shall be scattered toward all winds: and ye shall know that I the LORD have spoken it.
    [strongs] 0000 And 3605 all 4015 his fugitives 3605 with all 0102 his bands 2719 by the sword 5307 will fall. 7604 And those who remain 3605 to every 7307 wind 6504 will be scattered. 3045 And you will know 3588 that 0589 I, 3068 Yahweh, 1696 have spoken.
17:22 [cbb5] 主耶和華如此說、我要將香柏樹梢擰去栽上、就是從儘尖的嫩枝中折一嫩枝、栽於極高的山上．
    [kjv] Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also take of the highest branch of the high cedar, and will set it; I will crop off from the top of his young twigs a tender one, and will plant it upon an high mountain and eminent:
    [strongs] 3541 Thus 0559 says 0136 the Lord 3068 Yahweh, 3947 I will also take, 0589 I, 6788 of the top of 0730 the cedar 7311 highest 5414 and will set {it}. 7218 From the chief of 3127 its young twigs 7390 a tender one 6998 I will crop off, 8362 and will plant {it} 0589 I 5921 on 2022 a mountain 1364 high 7682 and lofty.
17:23 [cbb5] 在以色列高處的山栽上．他就生枝子、結果子、成為佳美的香柏樹、各類飛鳥都必宿在其下、就是宿在枝子的蔭下。
    [kjv] In the mountain of the height of Israel will I plant it: and it shall bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a goodly cedar: and under it shall dwell all fowl of every wing; in the shadow of the branches thereof shall they dwell.
    [strongs] 2022 In a mountain of 1364 high, 3478 Israel 8362 I will plant it. 5375 And it will produce 6288 boughs 6213 and produce 6529 fruit, 1961 and become 0730 a cedar 1926 majestic. 7931 And will live 8478 under it 3605 every 3671 wing. 6738 In the shadow of 1808 its branches 5522 they will live.
17:24 [cbb5] 田野的樹木都必知道我耶和華使高樹矮小、矮樹高大、青樹枯乾、枯樹發旺．我耶和華如此說、也如此行了。
    [kjv] And all the trees of the field shall know that I the LORD have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish: I the LORD have spoken and have done it.
    [strongs] 3045 And will know 3605 all 6086 the trees of 7704 the field 0000 that 0589 I, 3068 Yahweh, 6057 have brought down 6086 the tree 1364 high, 1361 have exalted 6086 the tree 8217 low, 8217 have dried up 6086 the tree 3418 green, 6524 and have made flourish 6086 the tree 3892 dry. 0589 I 3068 Yahweh, 1696 have spoken 6213 and have acted.
