38:1 [cbb5] 那時猶大離開他弟兄下去、到一個亞杜蘭人名叫希拉的家裡去。
    [kjv] And it came to pass at that time, that Judah went down from his brethren, and turned in to a certain Adullamite, whose name was Hirah.
    [strongs] 1961 And it was 6256 at time 1931 that, 3387 went down 3063 Judah, 0853 away from 0251 his brothers, 5186 and turned in 5921 to 0376 a man, 5726 of Adullam, 8034 named 2437 Hirah.
38:2 [cbb5] 猶大在那裡看見一個迦南人名叫書亞的女兒、就娶他為妻、與他同房、
    [kjv] And Judah saw there a daughter of a certain Canaanite, whose name was Shuah; and he took her, and went in unto her.
    [strongs] 7200 And saw 8033 there 3063 Judah 1323 a daughter 0376 of a man 3669 Canaanite 8034 named 7770 Shuah. 3947 And he took her 0935 and went 0413 into her.

    [kjv] And she conceived, and bare a son; and he called his name Er.
    [strongs] 2029 And she conceived 3205 and gave birth to 1121 a son. 7221 And he called 0853 - 8034 his name 6147 Er.
38:4 [cbb5] 他又懷孕生了兒子、母親給他起名叫俄南。
    [kjv] And she conceived again, and bare a son; and she called his name Onan.
    [strongs] 2928 And she conceived 5750 again 3205 and gave birth to 1121 a son. 7121 And she called 0853 - 8034 his name 0269 Onan.
38:5 [cbb5] 他復又生了兒子、給他起名叫示拉．他生示拉的時候、猶大正在基悉。
    [kjv] And she yet again conceived, and bare a son; and called his name Shelah: and he was at Chezib, when she bare him.
    [strongs] 3254 And she continued on 5750 still 3205 and gave birth to 1121 a son. 7121 And she called 0853 - 8034 his name 7956 Shelah. 1961 And he was 3580 at Chezib 3205 when she gave birth to 0853 him.
38:6 [cbb5] 猶大為長子珥娶妻、名叫他瑪。
    [kjv] And Judah took a wife for Er his firstborn, whose name was Tamar.
    [strongs] 3947 And took 3063 Judah 0802 a wife 6147 for Er, 1060 his firstborn, 8034 whose name was 8559 Tamar.
38:7 [cbb5] 猶大的長子珥在耶和華眼中看為惡、耶和華就叫他死了。
    [kjv] And Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD slew him.
    [strongs] 1961 And was 6147 Er 1060 the firstborn of 3063 Judah 7451 evil 5869 in the eyes of 3068 Yahweh. 4191 So, killed him 3068 Yahweh.
38:8 [cbb5] 猶大對俄南說、你當與你哥哥的妻子同房、向他盡你為弟的本分、為你哥哥生子立後。
    [kjv] And Judah said unto Onan, Go in unto thy brother's wife, and marry her, and raise up seed to thy brother.
    [strongs] 0559 And said 3063 Judah 0209 to Onan, 0935 Go 0413 to 0802 a wife of 0251 your brother 2992 and marry 0853 her, 6965 and raise up 2233 seed 0251 for your brother.
38:9 [cbb5] 俄南知道生子不歸自己、所以同房的時候、便遺在地、免得給他哥哥留後。
    [kjv] And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother's wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother.

    [kjv] And the thing which he did displeased the LORD: wherefore he slew him also.

38:11 [cbb5] 猶大心裡說、恐怕示拉也死、像他兩個哥哥一樣、就對他兒婦他瑪說、你去、在你父親家裡守寡、等我兒子示拉長大．他瑪就回去住在他父親家裡。
    [kjv] Then said Judah to Tamar his daughter in law, Remain a widow at thy father's house, till Shelah my son be grown: for he said, Lest peradventure he die also, as his brethren did. And Tamar went and dwelt in her father's house.

    [kjv] And in process of time the daughter of Shuah Judah's wife died; and Judah was comforted, and went up unto his sheepshearers to Timnath, he and his friend Hirah the Adullamite.
    [strongs] 7235 And were many 3117 the days, 4191 and died 1323 daughter, 1340 Shuah's 0802 the wife of 3063 Judah. 5162 And was comforted 3063 Judah, 5927 and went 5921 to 1494 shearers of 6629 his sheep, 1931 he 2437 and Hiram, 7451 his friend 5726 of Adullam, 8553 to Timnah.

    [kjv] And it was told Tamar, saying, Behold thy father in law goeth up to Timnath to shear his sheep.

38:14 [cbb5] 他瑪見示拉已經長大、還沒有娶他為妻、就脫了他作寡婦的衣裳、用帕子蒙著臉、又遮住身體、坐在亭拿路上的伊拿印城門口。
    [kjv] And she put her widow's garments off from her, and covered her with a vail, and wrapped herself, and sat in an open place, which is by the way to Timnath; for she saw that Shelah was grown, and she was not given unto him to wife.
    [strongs] 5493 And she took off 0899 robes 0491 her widow's 5921 from her 3680 and veiled herself 6809 with a veil, 5968 and disguised herself 3427 and sat 6607 at the entrance 5869 of Enaim, 0834 which {is} 5921 on 1870 the way to 8553 Timnah, 3588 because 7200 she saw 3588 that 1430 had grown up 7856 Shelah, 1931 and she 3808 not 5414 had been given 0000 to him 0802 as a wife.
38:15 [cbb5] 猶大看見他、以為是妓女、因為他蒙著臉。
    [kjv] When Judah saw her, he thought her to be an harlot; because she had covered her face.

38:16 [cbb5] 猶大就轉到他那裡去說、來罷、讓我與你同寢．他原不知道是他的兒婦。他瑪說、你要與我同寢、把甚麼給我呢。
    [kjv] And he turned unto her by the way, and said, Go to, I pray thee, let me come in unto thee; (for he knew not that she was his daughter in law.) And she said, What wilt thou give me, that thou mayest come in unto me?

38:17 [cbb5] 猶大說、我從羊群裡取一隻山羊羔打發人送來給你．他瑪說、在未送以先、你願意給我一個當頭麼。
    [kjv] And he said, I will send thee a kid from the flock. And she said, Wilt thou give me a pledge, till thou send it?
    [strongs] 0559 And he said, 0595 I 7921 will send 1423 a kid 5795 of the goats 4480 from 6629 the flock. 0559 And she said, 0518 Will 5414 you give me 6162 a pledge 5704 until 7971 you send?
38:18 [cbb5] 他說、我給你甚麼當頭呢、他瑪說、你的印、你的帶子、和你手裡的杖。猶大就給了他、與他同寢．他就從猶大懷了孕。
    [kjv] And he said, What pledge shall I give thee? And she said, Thy signet, and thy bracelets, and thy staff that is in thine hand. And he gave it her, and came in unto her, and she conceived by him.
    [strongs] 0559 And he said, 4100 What {is} 6162 the pledge 0834 which 5414 I should give 0000 to you? 0559 And she said, 2368 Your signet ring, 6616 and your bracelet, 4294 and your staff, 0834 which {is} 3027 in your hand. 5414 So he gave {them} 0000 to her, 0935 and came in 0413 to her, 2029 and she conceived 0000 by him.
38:19 [cbb5] 他瑪起來走了、除去帕子、仍舊穿上作寡婦的衣裳。
    [kjv] And she arose, and went away, and laid by her vail from her, and put on the garments of her widowhood.
    [strongs] 6965 And she arose 1980 and left 5493 and removed 6809 her veil 6440 from her face, 3847 and put on 0899 robes 0491 her widow's.
38:20 [cbb5] 猶大託他朋友亞杜蘭人、送一隻山羊羔去、要從那女人手裡取回當頭來、卻找不著他、
    [kjv] And Judah sent the kid by the hand of his friend the Adullamite, to receive his pledge from the woman's hand: but he found her not.
    [strongs] 7971 And sent 3063 Judah 0853 - 1423 the kid of 5795 the goats 3027 through hand 7451 his friend's 5726 the Adullamite, 3947 to get back 6162 the pledge 3027 from hand 0802 the woman's, 3808 but not 4672 he did find her.
38:21 [cbb5] 就問那地方的人說、伊拿印路旁的妓女在那裡、他們說、這裡並沒有妓女。
    [kjv] Then he asked the men of that place, saying, Where is the harlot, that was openly by the way side? And they said, There was no harlot in this place.
    [strongs] 7592 And he asked 0853 - 0376 the men of 4725 her place, 0559 saying, 0346 Where is 6948 the prostitute 1931 that {was} 5879 at Enaim 5921 by 1870 the road? 0559 And they said, 3808 not 1961 There was 2088 here 6948 a prostitute!
38:22 [cbb5] 他回去見猶大說、我沒有找著他、並且那地方的人說、這裡沒有妓女。
    [kjv] And he returned to Judah, and said, I cannot find her; and also the men of the place said, that there was no harlot in this place.
    [strongs] 7725 And he returned 0413 to 3063 Judah 0559 and said, 3808 not 4672 I have found her. 1571 And also 0376 the men of 4725 the place 0559 said, 3808 not There 1961 was 2088 here 6948 a prostitute!
38:23 [cbb5] 猶大說、我把這山羊羔送去了、你竟找不著他、任憑他拿去罷、免得我們被羞辱。
    [kjv] And Judah said, Let her take it to her, lest we be shamed: behold, I sent this kid, and thou hast not found her.
    [strongs] 0559 And said 3063 Judah, 3947 Let her take 0000 for herself 6435 lest 1961 we become 0937 a laughing-stock. 2009 Look, 7921 I sent 1423 kid 0000 this, 0859 and you 3808 not 4672 did find her.
38:24 [cbb5] 約過了三個月、有人告訴猶大說、你的兒婦他瑪作了妓女、且因行淫有了身孕．猶大說、拉出他來把他燒了。
    [kjv] And it came to pass about three months after, that it was told Judah, saying, Tamar thy daughter in law hath played the harlot; and also, behold, she is with child by whoredom. And Judah said, Bring her forth, and let her be burnt.
    [strongs] 1961 And it was, 7969 after three 2320 months, 5046 it was told 3063 to Judah 0559 saying, 2181 has committed 8559 Tamar adultery, 3618 your daughter-in-law. 2524 And also 2009 see, 2030 she is pregnant 2783 through adultery! 0559 And said 3063 Judah, 3318 Bring her out 8313 and let her be burned!
38:25 [cbb5] 他瑪被拉出來的時候、便打發人去見他公公、對他說、這些東西是誰的、我就是從誰懷的孕、請你認一認、這印、和帶子、並杖、都是誰的。
    [kjv] When she was brought forth, she sent to her father in law, saying, By the man, whose these are, am I with child: and she said, Discern, I pray thee, whose are these, the signet, and bracelets, and staff.
    [strongs] 1931 She {was} 3318 being brought 1931 and she 7971 sent 0413 to 2524 her father-in-law, 0559 saying, 0376 By a man 0834 which 0428 these {belong} 0000 to him 0595 I 2030 {am} pregnant! 0559 And she said, 5234 Notice 4994 now 4310 to whom 2858 the signet ring, 6616 the bracelet, 4294 and the staff 0428 these {are}.
38:26 [cbb5] 猶大承認說、他比我更有義、因為我沒有將他給我的兒子示拉．從此猶大不再與他同寢了。
    [kjv] And Judah acknowledged them, and said, She hath been more righteous than I; because that I gave her not to Shelah my son. And he knew her again no more.
    [strongs] 5234 And looked 3063 Judah 0559 and said, 6663 She is right 4480 more than I, 3588 because 5921 - 3651 - 3808 not 5414 did I give her 7956 to Shelah, 1121 my son, 3808 and never 0000 - 5750 again 3045 did he have sexual relations with her.
38:27 [cbb5] 他瑪將要生產、不料他腹裡是一對雙生．
    [kjv] And it came to pass in the time of her travail, that, behold, twins were in her womb.

38:28 [cbb5] 到生產的時候、一個孩子伸出一隻手來、收生婆拿紅線拴在他手上、說、這是頭生的。
    [kjv] And it came to pass, when she travailed, that the one put out his hand: and the midwife took and bound upon his hand a scarlet thread, saying, This came out first.
    [strongs] 1961 And it was, 3205 in her childbearing 5414 one put out 3027 a hand. 3917 And took it 3205 the midwife 7194 and tied 5921 on 3027 his hand 8144 crimson 0559 saying, 0000 This one 3318 came out 7223 first!
38:29 [cbb5] 隨後這孩子把手收回去、他哥哥生出來了、收生婆說、你為甚麼搶著來呢、因此給他起名叫法勒斯。
    [kjv] And it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold, his brother came out: and she said, How hast thou broken forth? this breach be upon thee: therefore his name was called Pharez.
    [strongs] 1961 And it was, 7725 as he withdrew 3027 his hand, 2009 that, look, 3318 came out 0251 his brother! 0559 And she said, 4100 How 6556 have you torn 5921 for yourself 6555 a break? 7121 And one called 8034 his name 6557 Pharez.
38:30 [cbb5] 後來他兄弟那手上有紅線的、也生出來、就給他起名叫謝拉。
    [kjv] And afterward came out his brother, that had the scarlet thread upon his hand: and his name was called Zarah.
    [strongs] 0310 And then 3318 came out 0251 his brother, 0834 whose 5921 on 3027 hand {was} 8144 the crimson. 7121 And one called 8034 his name 2220 Zarah.
