42:1 [cbb5] 雅各見埃及有糧、就對兒子們說、你們為甚麼彼觀望呢。
    [kjv] Now when Jacob saw that there was corn in Egypt, Jacob said unto his sons, Why do ye look one upon another?
    [strongs] 7200 And saw 3290 Jacob 3588 that 3426 was 7668 grain 4714 in Egypt. 0059 And said 3290 Jacob 1121 to his sons 4100 Why 7200 do you look at each other?
42:2 [cbb5] 我聽見埃及有糧、你們可以下去從那裡為我們糴些來、使我們可以存活、不至於死。
    [kjv] And he said, Behold, I have heard that there is corn in Egypt: get you down thither, and buy for us from thence; that we may live, and not die.
    [strongs] 0559 And he said, 2009 Listen, 8085 I have heard 3588 that 3426 there is 7668 grain 4714 in Egypt! 3381 Go down 8033 there 3290 and buy 7668 for us 4714 from there, 0059 so that we may live 3808 and not 4191 die!
42:3 [cbb5] 於是約瑟的十個哥哥都下埃及糴糧去了。
    [kjv] And Joseph's ten brethren went down to buy corn in Egypt.
    [strongs] 3381 And went 0251 the brothers of 3127 Joseph 6235 ten 7666 to buy 1250 grain 4714 from Egypt.
42:4 [cbb5] 但約瑟的兄弟便雅憫、雅各沒有打發他和哥哥們同去、因為雅各說、恐怕他遭害。
    [kjv] But Benjamin, Joseph's brother, Jacob sent not with his brethren; for he said, Lest peradventure mischief befall him.
    [strongs] 0853 But 1144 Benjamin, 0251 the brother of 3127 Joseph, 3808 not 7971 did send 3290 Jacob 0854 with 0251 his brothers, 3588 because 0559 he said, 6435 Lest 7125 happen to him 0611 harm.
42:5 [cbb5] 來糴糧的人中有以色列的兒子們、因為迦南地也有饑荒。
    [kjv] And the sons of Israel came to buy corn among those that came: for the famine was in the land of Canaan.

42:6 [cbb5] 當時治理埃及地的是約瑟、糶糧給那地眾民的就是他。約瑟的哥哥們來了、臉伏於地、向他下拜。
    [kjv] And Joseph was the governor over the land, and he it was that sold to all the people of the land: and Joseph's brethren came, and bowed down themselves before him with their faces to the earth.

42:7 [cbb5] 約瑟看見他哥哥們、就認得他們、卻裝作生人、向他們說些嚴厲話、問他們說、你們從那裡來．他們說、我們從迦南地來糴糧。
    [kjv] And Joseph saw his brethren, and he knew them, but made himself strange unto them, and spake roughly unto them; and he said unto them, Whence come ye? And they said, From the land of Canaan to buy food.
    [strongs] 7200 And saw 3127 Joseph 0853 - 0227 his brothers 5234 and recognized them, 5234 but he remained a stranger 0413 toward them. 1696 And he spoke 0853 to them 7186 harsh things 0559 and said 0413 to them, 0370 From where 0935 have you come? 0559 And they said, 0776 From the land of 3667 Canaan 7666 to buy 0400 food.
42:8 [cbb5] 約瑟認得他哥哥們、他們卻不認得他。
    [kjv] And Joseph knew his brethren, but they knew not him.

42:9 [cbb5] 約瑟想起從前所作的那兩個夢、就對他們說、你們是奸細、來窺探這地的虛實。
    [kjv] And Joseph remembered the dreams which he dreamed of them, and said unto them, Ye are spies; to see the nakedness of the land ye are come.

42:10 [cbb5] 他們對他說、我主阿、不是的、僕人們是糴糧來的、
    [kjv] And they said unto him, Nay, my lord, but to buy food are thy servants come.

42:11 [cbb5] 我們都是一個人的兒子、是誠實人、僕人們並不是奸細。
    [kjv] We are all one man's sons; we are true men, thy servants are no spies.
    [strongs] 3605 We are, all of us, 1121 sons of 0376 man 0259 one. 0000 We {are} 3651 honest. 5168 We 3808 not 1961 are 5650 your servants 7270 spies!
42:12 [cbb5] 約瑟說、不然、你們必是窺探這地的虛實來的。
    [kjv] And he said unto them, Nay, but to see the nakedness of the land ye are come.
    [strongs] 0559 But he said 0413 to them, 3808 No, 3588 but 6172 the barrenness of 0776 the land 0935 you have come 7200 to see!
42:13 [cbb5] 他們說、僕人們本是弟兄十二人、是迦南地一個人的兒子、頂小的現今在我們的父親那裡、有一個沒有了。
    [kjv] And they said, Thy servants are twelve brethren, the sons of one man in the land of Canaan; and, behold, the youngest is this day with our father, and one is not.
    [strongs] 0559 And they said, 8147 twelve 6240 - 5650 Your servants {are} 0251 brothers. 0000 We {are} 1121 sons of 0376 man 0259 one 0776 in the land of 3667 Canaan. 2009 And, look, 6996 the youngest 0854 {is} with 0001 our father 3117 today, 0259 and the one {brother} 0369 is not {alive}.
42:14 [cbb5] 約瑟說、我纔說你們是奸細、這話實在不錯、
    [kjv] And Joseph said unto them, That is it that I spake unto you, saying, Ye are spies:
    [strongs] 0559 And said 0413 to them 3127 Joseph, 1931 This is that 0834 which 1696 I have spoken 0413 to you 0559 saying, 7270 spies 0859 You are!
42:15 [cbb5] 我指著法老的性命起誓、若是你們的小兄弟、不到這裡來、你們就不得出這地方、從此就可以把你們證驗出來了．
    [kjv] Hereby ye shall be proved: By the life of Pharaoh ye shall not go forth hence, except your youngest brother come hither.

42:16 [cbb5] 須要打發你們中間一個人去、把你們的兄弟帶來、至於你們、都要囚在這裡、好證驗你們的話真不真、若不真、我指著法老的性命起誓、你們一定是奸細。
    [kjv] Send one of you, and let him fetch your brother, and ye shall be kept in prison, that your words may be proved, whether there be any truth in you: or else by the life of Pharaoh surely ye are spies.

42:17 [cbb5] 於是約瑟把他們都下在監裡三天。
    [kjv] And he put them all together into ward three days.

42:18 [cbb5] 到了第三天、約瑟對他們說、我是敬畏　神的、你們照我的話行、就可以存活．
    [kjv] And Joseph said unto them the third day, This do, and live; for I fear God:

42:19 [cbb5] 你們如果是誠實人、可以留你們中間的一個人囚在監裡、但你們可以帶著糧食回去、救你們家裡的饑荒．
    [kjv] If ye be true men, let one of your brethren be bound in the house of your prison: go ye, carry corn for the famine of your houses:
    [strongs] 0518 If 3651 {are} honest 0859 you, 0251 your brothers 0259 one of 0631 let be bound 1004 in the house of 4929 your prison, 0859 and you 1980 go 0935 bring 7668 grain 7459 {for} the famine of 1004 your households.
42:20 [cbb5] 把你們的小兄弟帶到我這裡來、如此、你們的話便有證據、你們也不至於死．他們就照樣而行。
    [kjv] But bring your youngest brother unto me; so shall your words be verified, and ye shall not die. And they did so.
    [strongs] 0853 And 0251 your brother 6996 youngest 0935 you bring 0413 to me, 0539 and let be confirmed 1697 your words. 3808 Then not 4191 you will die. 6213 And they did 3651 so.
42:21 [cbb5] 他們彼此說、我們在兄弟身上實在有罪、他哀求我們的時候、我們見他心裡的愁苦、卻不肯聽、所以這場苦難臨到我們身上。
    [kjv] And they said one to another, We are verily guilty concerning our brother, in that we saw the anguish of his soul, when he besought us, and we would not hear; therefore is this distress come upon us.
    [strongs] 0559 And they said 0376 each 0413 to 0251 his brother, 0061 truly 0818 guilty 0000 We {are} 5921 because of 0251 our brother {Joseph}, 0834 in that 7200 we saw 6869 pain 5315 his soul's, 2589 when he begged 0413 us 3808 and not 8085 we did listen. 5921 There- 3651 fore, 0935 has come 0413 to us 6869 pain 0000 this!
42:22 [cbb5] 流便說、我豈不是對你們對你們說過、不可傷害那孩子麼、只是你們不肯聽、所以流他血的罪向我們追討。
    [kjv] And Reuben answered them, saying, Spake I not unto you, saying, Do not sin against the child; and ye would not hear? therefore, behold, also his blood is required.
    [strongs] 6030 And answered 2205 Reuben 0853 them, 0559 saying, 3808 not 1696 Did I speak 0413 to you, 0559 saying, 0408 not 2398 Do sin 3206 against the youth, 3808 and not 8085 did you listen? 1571 And also 1818 his blood, 2009 look, 1815 is required.
42:23 [cbb5] 他們不知道約瑟聽得出來、因為在他們中間用通事傳話。
    [kjv] And they knew not that Joseph understood them; for he spake unto them by an interpreter.
    [strongs] 1992 And they 3808 not 3045 did know 3588 that 8085 was listening 3127 Joseph, 3588 because 3887 the interpreter 0996 {was} between them.
42:24 [cbb5] 約瑟轉身退去、哭了一場、又回來對他們說話、就從他們中間挑出西緬來、在他們眼前把他捆綁。
    [kjv] And he turned himself about from them, and wept; and returned to them again, and communed with them, and took from them Simeon, and bound him before their eyes.
    [strongs] 5437 And he turned 5921 from them 1058 and he wept. 7725 And {later} he came 0413 to them 1696 and spoke 0413 to them. 3947 And he took 0853 from them 0853 - 8095 Simeon 0631 and bound 0853 him 5869 in front of their eyes.
42:25 [cbb5] 約瑟吩咐人把糧食裝滿他們的器具、把各人的銀子歸還在各人的口袋裡、又給他們路上用的食物、人就照他的話辦了。
    [kjv] Then Joseph commanded to fill their sacks with corn, and to restore every man's money into his sack, and to give them provision for the way: and thus did he unto them.
    [strongs] 6680 And directed 3127 Joseph, 4390 and they filled 0853 - 3627 their containers 1250 {with} grain, 7725 and returned 3701 their money, 0376 each 0413 into 8242 his sack, 5414 and gave 0000 to them 6720 food 1870 for the road. 6213 And he did 0000 to them 3651 so.
42:26 [cbb5] 他們就把糧食馱在驢上、離開那裡去了。
    [kjv] And they laded their asses with the corn, and departed thence.
    [strongs] 5375 And they loaded 0853 - 7668 their grain 5921 on 2543 their donkeys 1980 and departed 8033 from there.
42:27 [cbb5] 到了住宿的地方、他們中間有一個人打開日袋、要拿料餧驢、纔看見自己的銀子仍在口袋裡．
    [kjv] And as one of them opened his sack to give his ass provender in the inn, he espied his money; for, behold, it was in his sack's mouth.
    [strongs] 6605 And opened 0259 one 0853 - 8245 his sack 5414 to give 4554 fodder 2543 to his donkey 4411 in the camp, 7200 and he saw 0853 - 3701 his money, 2004 and, look, 2088 it {was} 6350 in mouth 0572 his sack's!
42:28 [cbb5] 就對弟兄們說、我的銀子歸還了、看哪、仍在我口袋裡．他們就提心吊膽、戰戰兢兢的彼此說、這是　神向我們作甚麼呢。
    [kjv] And he said unto his brethren, My money is restored; and, lo, it is even in my sack: and their heart failed them, and they were afraid, saying one to another, What is this that God hath done unto us?
    [strongs] 0559 And he said 0413 to 0251 his brothers, 7725 has been restored 3701 My money, 1571 and also, 2009 look, 0572 in my sack! 5927 And sank 3820 their hearts. 1961 And they were terrified, 0376 each 0413 to 0251 his brother 0559 saying, 4100 What 2088 is this 6213 {that} has done 0430 God 0000 to us?
42:29 [cbb5] 他們來到迦南地他們的父親雅各那裡、將所遭遇的事都告訴他、說、
    [kjv] And they came unto Jacob their father unto the land of Canaan, and told him all that befell unto them; saying,
    [strongs] 0935 And they went 0413 to 3290 Jacob 0001 their father, 0776 to the land of 3667 Canaan, 5046 and told 0000 him 0853 - 3605 all 7136 that happened 0853 to them, 0559 saying,
42:30 [cbb5] 那地的主對我們說嚴厲的話、把我們當作窺探那地的奸細。
    [kjv] The man, who is the lord of the land, spake roughly to us, and took us for spies of the country.
    [strongs] 1696 spoke 0376 The man, 0113 the lord of 0776 the land, 0853 to us 7186 harsh things, 7186 and considered 5414 us 7270 as spies 0853 - 0776 in the land.
42:31 [cbb5] 我們對他說、我們是誠實人、並不是奸細．
    [kjv] And we said unto him, We are true men; we are no spies:
    [strongs] 0559 And we said 0413 to him, 3659 honest 0000 We {are}, 3808 not 1961 we are 7270 spies.
42:32 [cbb5] 我們本是弟兄十二人、都是一個父親的兒子、有一個沒有了、頂小的如今同我們的父親在迦南地。
    [kjv] We be twelve brethren, sons of our father; one is not, and the youngest is this day with our father in the land of Canaan.

42:33 [cbb5] 那地的主對我們說、若要我知道你們是誠實人、可以留下你們中間的一個人在我這裡、你們可以帶著糧食回去、救你們家裡的饑荒．
    [kjv] And the man, the lord of the country, said unto us, Hereby shall I know that ye are true men; leave one of your brethren here with me, and take food for the famine of your households, and be gone:
    [strongs] 0559 And said 0413 to us 0376 the man 0113 the ruler of 0776 the land, 2088 By this 3045 I will know 3588 that 3651 honest 0859 you {are}: 0251 your brother 0259 one 3240 Leave 0854 with me, 0853 and 7459 for the famine of 1004 your households 3947 take 1980 and go.
42:34 [cbb5] 把你們的小兄弟帶到我這裡來、我便知道你們不是奸細、乃是誠實人．這樣、我就把你們的弟兄交給你們、你們也可以在這地作買賣。
    [kjv] And bring your youngest brother unto me: then shall I know that ye are no spies, but that ye are true men: so will I deliver you your brother, and ye shall traffick in the land.
    [strongs] 0935 And bring 0853 - 0251 your brother 6996 youngest 0413 to me, 3045 so that I may know 3588 that 3808 not 7270 spies 0859 you {are} 3588 but 3651 honest 0859 you {are}. 0853 - 0251 your brother 5414 I will give 0000 to you, 0853 and 0776 in the land 5503 you may trade.
42:35 [cbb5] 後來他們倒口袋、不料各人的銀包都在口袋裡、他們和父親看見銀包就都害怕。
    [kjv] And it came to pass as they emptied their sacks, that, behold, every man's bundle of money was in his sack: and when both they and their father saw the bundles of money, they were afraid.
    [strongs] 1961 And it happened {as} 1992 they 7324 were emptying 8242 their sacks, 2009 and, look, 0376 each 6872 bundle of 3701 one's money 8242 {was} in his sack. 7200 And they saw 0853 - 6872 the bundles of 3701 their money, 1992 they 0001 and their father, 3372 and they were afraid.
42:36 [cbb5] 他們的父親雅各對他們說、你們使我喪失我的兒子．約瑟沒有了、西緬也沒有了、你們又要將便雅憫帶去．這些事都歸到我身上了。
    [kjv] And Jacob their father said unto them, Me have ye bereaved of my children: Joseph is not, and Simeon is not, and ye will take Benjamin away: all these things are against me.
    [strongs] 0559 And said 0413 to them 3290 Jacob, 0001 their father, 0853 me 7921 You have bereaved. 3127 Joseph 0369 is not {alive}, 8095 and Simeon 0369 is not {with us}, 0853 and 1144 Benjamin 3947 you would take! 5921 against me 1961 are 3605 All of these.
42:37 [cbb5] 流便對他父親說、我若不帶他回來交給你、你可以殺我的兩個兒子、只管把他交在我手裡、我必帶他回來交給你。
    [kjv] And Reuben spake unto his father, saying, Slay my two sons, if I bring him not to thee: deliver him into my hand, and I will bring him to thee again.
    [strongs] 0559 And spoke 7205 Reuben 0413 to 0001 his father 0559 saying, 0853 - 8147 two 1121 my sons 4191 You may kill 0518 if 3808 not 0935 I do bring him 0413 to you! 5414 Put 0853 him 5921 into 3027 my hand 0589 and I 7725 will return him 0413 to you.
42:38 [cbb5] 雅各說、我的兒子不可與你們一同下去．他哥哥死了、只剩下他、他若在你們所行的路上遭害、那便是你們使我白髮蒼蒼、悲悲慘慘的下陰間去了。
    [kjv] And he said, My son shall not go down with you; for his brother is dead, and he is left alone: if mischief befall him by the way in the which ye go, then shall ye bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to the grave.
    [strongs] 0559 And he said, 3808 not 3381 will go 1121 My son 5973 with you, 3588 because 0251 his brother 4191 is dead, 1931 and he 0905 alone 7604 is left. 1125 And {if} come to him 0611 harm 7870 on the road 0834 which 1980 you go in, 3381 you would bring down 0853 - 7872 my gray hair 3015 in sorrow 7585 to the grave.
