9:1 [cbb5] 約但河西住山地、高原、並對著利巴嫩山沿大海一帶的諸王、就是赫人、亞摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人的諸王、聽見這事、
    [kjv] And it came to pass, when all the kings which were on this side Jordan, in the hills, and in the valleys, and in all the coasts of the great sea over against Lebanon, the Hittite, and the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, heard thereof;
    [strongs] 1961 And it was 8085 when heard 3605 all 4428 the kings 0834 who {were} 1973 beyond 3383 the Jordan {River} 2022 in the hills 8219 and in the lowlands, 3605 and in all 2348 the coast of 3220 the Sea 1419 Great 6440 toward 3844 Lebanon, 2850 the Hittite 0567 and the Amorite, 3669 the Canaanite, 6522 the Perizzite, 2340 the Hivite, 2983 and the Jebusite.
9:2 [cbb5] 就都聚集、同心合意的、要與約書亞和以色列人爭戰。
    [kjv] That they gathered themselves together, to fight with Joshua and with Israel, with one accord.
    [strongs] 6908 They gathered themselves 3162 together 3898 to fight 0000 with 3091 Joshua 0000 and with 3478 Israel 6310 {with} mouth 0259 one.
9:3 [cbb5] 基遍的居民聽見約書亞向耶利哥和艾城所行的事、
    [kjv] And when the inhabitants of Gibeon heard what Joshua had done unto Jericho and to Ai,
    [strongs] 3427 And the natives of 1391 Gibeon 8085 heard 0834 what 6213 had done 3091 Joshua 3405 to Jericho 5857 and to Ai.
9:4 [cbb5] 就設詭計。假充使者、拿舊口袋、和破裂縫補的舊皮酒袋、馱在驢上、
    [kjv] They did work wilily, and went and made as if they had been ambassadors, and took old sacks upon their asses, and wine bottles, old, and rent, and bound up;
    [strongs] 6213 And acted 1571 also 2007 they 4604 in a clever way, 1980 and they went 6737 and acted like ambassadors 3947 and took 0572 sacks 1087 old 2543 for their donkeys, 0000 and 3196 wineskins 1087 worn out 2963 and torn 6887 and bound up,
9:5 [cbb5] 將補過的舊鞋穿在腳上、把舊衣服穿在身上、他們所帶的餅都是乾的、長了霉了。
    [kjv] And old shoes and clouted upon their feet, and old garments upon them; and all the bread of their provision was dry and mouldy.
    [strongs] 8275 and sandals 1087 worn out 2921 and patched 7272 on their feet, 8008 and clothes 1087 worn out 5921 upon them, 3605 and all 3899 the bread 6718 of their provision 3001 was dry. 1961 It was 5350 crumbs.
9:6 [cbb5] 他們到吉甲營中見約書亞、對他和以色列人說、我們是從遠方來的．現在求你與我們立約。
    [kjv] And they went to Joshua unto the camp at Gilgal, and said unto him, and to the men of Israel, We be come from a far country: now therefore make ye a league with us.
    [strongs] 1980 And they went 0413 to 3091 Joshua 0413 to 4264 the camp 1537 {at} Gilgal, 0559 and said 0000 to him, 0000 and to 0376 the men of 3478 Israel, 0776 From a land 7350 distant 0935 we have come, 6258 and now 3772 cut with us 1285 a covenant.
9:7 [cbb5] 以色列人對這些希未人說、只怕你們是住在我們中間的．若是這樣、怎能和你們立約呢。
    [kjv] And the men of Israel said unto the Hivites, Peradventure ye dwell among us; and how shall we make a league with you?
    [strongs] 0559 And said 0376 the men of 3478 Israel 0413 to 2340 the Hivites, 0194 Perhaps 7130 in our middle 0000 you 3427 {are} living, 0389 and how 3772 will we cut 0000 with you 1285 a covenant?
9:8 [cbb5] 他們對約書亞說、我們是你的僕人。約書亞問他們說、你們是甚麼人、是從那裡來的．
    [kjv] And they said unto Joshua, We are thy servants. And Joshua said unto them, Who are ye? and from whence come ye?
    [strongs] 0559 And they said 3091 to Joshua, 5650 Your servants 0587 We {are} 0559 And said 0000 to them 3091 Joshua 4310 Who {are} 0859 you? 0370 And from where 0935 do you come?
9:9 [cbb5] 他們回答說、僕人從極遠之地而來、是因聽見耶和華你　神的名聲、和他在埃及所行的一切事、
    [kjv] And they said unto him, From a very far country thy servants are come because of the name of the LORD thy God: for we have heard the fame of him, and all that he did in Egypt,
    [strongs] 0559 And they said 0000 to him, 0776 From a land 7350 distant 3966 very 0935 have come 5650 your servants, 8034 because of the name of 3068 Yahweh 0430 your God, 0000 because 8085 we have heard of 8089 His fame, 0000 and 3605 all 0834 that 6213 He has done 4714 in Egypt,
9:10 [cbb5] 並他向約但河東的兩個亞摩利王、就是希實本王西宏、和在亞斯他錄的巴珊王噩、一切所行的事．
    [kjv] And all that he did to the two kings of the Amorites, that were beyond Jordan, to Sihon king of Heshbon, and to Og king of Bashan, which was at Ashtaroth.
    [strongs] 0000 and 3605 all 0834 that 6213 He has done 8147 to the two 4428 kings of 0567 the Amorites 0834 who {were} 1973 beyond 3383 the Jordan {River}, 5511 to Sihon, 4428 king of 2809 Heshbon, 5747 and to Og, 4428 the king of 1316 Bashon 0834 who {was} 6252 in Ashtaroth.
9:11 [cbb5] 我們的長老和我們那地的一切居民對我們說、你們手裡要帶著路上用的食物、去迎接以色列人、對他們說、我們是你們的僕人．現在求你們與我們立約。
    [kjv] Wherefore our elders and all the inhabitants of our country spake to us, saying, Take victuals with you for the journey, and go to meet them, and say unto them, We are your servants: therefore now make ye a league with us.
    [strongs] 1696 And spoke 0000 to us 2205 our elders 3605 and all 3427 the dwellers of 0127 our land, 0559 saying, 3947 Take 3027 in your hand 6720 provisions 1870 for the way, 1980 and go 7125 to meet them. 0559 And you will say 0000 to them, 5650 your servants 0587 We {are}, 6258 and now, 3772 cut 0000 with us 1285 a covenant.
9:12 [cbb5] 我們出來要往你們這裡來的日子、從家裡帶出來的這餅還是熱的．看哪、現在都乾了。長了霉了。
    [kjv] This our bread we took hot for our provision out of our houses on the day we came forth to go unto you; but now, behold, it is dry, and it is mouldy:
    [strongs] 0000 This {is} 3899 our bread 2525 hot 6679 we took for ourselves 0000 with it 1004 out of our houses 3117 on the day 3318 we came out 1980 to go 0000 to you. 6258 And now, 2233 look, 3001 {it is} dry, 0000 and it is 5350 crumbs.
9:13 [cbb5] 這皮酒袋、我們盛酒的時候還是新的．看哪、現在已經破裂．我們這衣服和鞋、因為道路甚遠、也都穿舊了。
    [kjv] And these bottles of wine, which we filled, were new; and, behold, they be rent: and these our garments and our shoes are become old by reason of the very long journey.
    [strongs] 0428 And these 9999 {are} 3196 wineskins 0834 which 4390 we filled 2319 {were} new, 2009 and, look, 1234 they have torn. 0428 And these {are} 8008 our clothes, 5275 and our sandals 1089 are worn out 7230 from length of 1870 the trip 3766 extreme.
9:14 [cbb5] 以色列人受了他們些食物、並沒有求問耶和華。
    [kjv] And the men took of their victuals, and asked not counsel at the mouth of the LORD.
    [strongs] 3947 And took 0376 the men 6718 of their provision, 0853 but 6310 the mouth of 3068 Yahweh 3808 not 7592 did ask.
9:15 [cbb5] 於是約書亞與他們講和、與他們立約、容他們活著．會眾的首領、也向他們起誓。
    [kjv] And Joshua made peace with them, and made a league with them, to let them live: and the princes of the congregation sware unto them.
    [strongs] 6213 So made 0000 with them 3091 Joshua 7965 peace, 3772 and cut 0000 with them 1285 a covenant, 2421 to keep them alive. 7650 And swore 0000 to them 0352 the leaders of 5712 the congregation.
9:16 [cbb5] 以色列人與他們立約之後、過了三天、纔聽見他們是近鄰、住在以色列人中間的。
    [kjv] And it came to pass at the end of three days after they had made a league with them, that they heard that they were their neighbours, and that they dwelt among them.
    [strongs] 1961 And it came to pass 7097 at the end of 7969 three 3117 days, 0310 after 3772 they had cut 0000 with them 1285 a covenant, 8085 that they heard 0000 that 7138 neighbors 1992 they {were} 0413 their 7130 and in their middle 2007 they 3427 {were} living.
9:17 [cbb5] 以色列人起行、第三天到了他們的城邑、就是基遍、基非拉、比錄、基列耶琳。
    [kjv] And the children of Israel journeyed, and came unto their cities on the third day. Now their cities were Gibeon, and Chephirah, and Beeroth, and Kirjathjearim.
    [strongs] 5265 And traveled 1121 the sons of 3478 Israel 0935 and came 0413 to 5892 their towns 3117 on the day 7992 third. 5892 And their towns {were}; 1391 Gibeon, 3716 and Chephirah 0881 and Beeroth 7157 and Kirjath-Jearim.
9:18 [cbb5] 因為會眾的首領、已經指著耶和華以色列的　神向他們起誓、所以以色列人不擊殺他們．全會眾就向首領發怨言。
    [kjv] And the children of Israel smote them not, because the princes of the congregation had sworn unto them by the LORD God of Israel. And all the congregation murmured against the princes.
    [strongs] 3808 And not 5221 did strike them 1121 the sons of 3478 Israel, 7650 because swore 0000 to them 7860 the chiefs of 5712 the congregation 3068 by Yahweh, 0430 the God of 3478 Israel. 3885 And complained 3605 all 5712 the congregation 0413 against 0441 the chiefs.
9:19 [cbb5] 眾首領對全會眾說、我們已經指著耶和華以色列的　神向他們起誓．現在我們不能害他們。
    [kjv] But all the princes said unto all the congregation, We have sworn unto them by the LORD God of Israel: now therefore we may not touch them.
    [strongs] 0559 And said 3605 all 0441 the chiefs 0413 to 3605 all 5712 the congregation, 0587 We 7650 have sworn 0000 to them 3068 by Yahweh, 0430 the God of 3478 Israel. 6258 And now 3808 not 3201 we can 5060 touch 0000 them.
9:20 [cbb5] 我們要如此待他們、容他們活著．免得有忿怒因我們所起的誓臨到我們身上。
    [kjv] This we will do to them; we will even let them live, lest wrath be upon us, because of the oath which we sware unto them.
    [strongs] 2088 This 6213 we will do 0000 to them 2421 and will keep alive 0853 them, 3808 and not 1961 will be 5921 upon us 7110 punishment 5921 because of 7621 the oath 0834 which 7650 we have sworn 0000 to them. 0559 And said 0413 to them,
9:21 [cbb5] 首領又對會眾說、要容他們活著．於是他們為全會眾作了劈柴挑水的人、正如首領對他們所說的話。
    [kjv] And the princes said unto them, Let them live; but let them be hewers of wood and drawers of water unto all the congregation; as the princes had promised them.
    [strongs] 5387 the rulers 2421 they will live. 1961 And they became 6086 woodcutters 7126 and drawers of 4325 water 3605 for all 5712 the congregation 0834 as 0559 spoke 0000 to them 5387 the rulers.
9:22 [cbb5] 約書亞召了他們來、對他們說、為甚麼欺哄我們說、我們離你們甚遠呢．其實你們是住在我們中間。
    [kjv] And Joshua called for them, and he spake unto them, saying, Wherefore have ye beguiled us, saying, We are very far from you; when ye dwell among us?
    [strongs] 7121 And called 0000 for them 3091 Joshua, 1696 and he spoke 0000 to them, 0559 saying, 4100 Why 7411 have you deceived 0000 us, 0559 saying, 7350 distant 0587 We {are} 0000 from you 3966 very, 0859 yet you 7130 in us among 3427 are living?
9:23 [cbb5] 現在你們是被咒詛的．你們中間的人、必斷不了作奴僕、為我　神的殿、作劈柴挑水的人。
    [kjv] Now therefore ye are cursed, and there shall none of you be freed from being bondmen, and hewers of wood and drawers of water for the house of my God.
    [strongs] 6258 And now, 0779 cursed 0859 you {are}, 3808 and not 3772 will fail 0000 {any} of you 5650 {being} slaves 0000 and 6086 woodcutters 7126 and drawers of 4325 water 1004 for the house of 0430 my God.
9:24 [cbb5] 他們回答約書亞說、因為有人實在告訴你的僕人、耶和華你的　神曾吩咐他的僕人摩西、把這全地賜給你們、並在你們面前滅絕這地的一切居民．所以我們為你們的緣故、甚怕喪命、就行了這事。
    [kjv] And they answered Joshua, and said, Because it was certainly told thy servants, how that the LORD thy God commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land, and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you, therefore we were sore afraid of our lives because of you, and have done this thing.
    [strongs] 6030 And they answered 3091 Joshua 0559 and said, 3588 Since 5046 surely 5046 it was told 5650 to your servants, 0834 what 6680 commanded 3068 Yahweh, 0430 your God, 4872 Moses, 5650 His servant, 5414 to give 0000 to you 3605 all 0776 the land, 7843 and to destroy 3605 all 3427 the inhabitants of 0776 the land 6440 from before you; 3372 and we feared 3966 much 5315 for our lives 0000 because of you, 6213 and we did 1697 thing 0000 this.
9:25 [cbb5] 現在我們在你手中、你以怎樣待我們為善為正、就怎樣作罷。
    [kjv] And now, behold, we are in thine hand: as it seemeth good and right unto thee to do unto us, do.
    [strongs] 6258 And now, 2009 listen, we {are} 3027 in your hand. 2896 As {is} good 3477 and as {is} right 5869 in your eyes 6213 to do 0000 to us, 6213 do {it}.
9:26 [cbb5] 於是約書亞這樣待他們、救他們脫離以色列人的手、以色列人就沒有殺他們。
    [kjv] And so did he unto them, and delivered them out of the hand of the children of Israel, that they slew them not.
    [strongs] 6213 And he did 0000 to them 3651 so 5337 and he saved 0000 them 3027 from {the} hand 1121 the sons of 3478 Israel's. 3808 And not 2026 they did kill them.
9:27 [cbb5] 當日約書亞使他們在耶和華所要選擇的地方、為會眾、和耶和華的壇、作劈柴挑水的人、直到今日。
    [kjv] And Joshua made them that day hewers of wood and drawers of water for the congregation, and for the altar of the LORD, even unto this day, in the place which he should choose.
    [strongs] 5414 And made them 3091 Joshua 3117 in day 1931 that 6086 woodcutters 7126 and drawers of 4325 water 5712 for the congregation, 4196 and for the altar of 3068 Yahweh 0413 to 3117 day 0000 this, 0413 at 4725 the place 0834 which 0977 He should choose.
