8:1 [cbb5] 以法蓮人對基甸說、你去與米甸人爭戰、沒有招我們同去、為甚麼這樣待我們呢．他們就與基甸大大地爭吵。
    [kjv] And the men of Ephraim said unto him, Why hast thou served us thus, that thou calledst us not, when thou wentest to fight with the Midianites? And they did chide with him sharply.
    [strongs] 0559 And said 0000 to him, 0376 the men of 0669 Ephraim 4100 What {is} 1697 thing 0000 this {which} 6213 you have done 0000 to us, 1097 not 7121 to call 0000 to us 3588 when 1980 you went 3898 to fight 4080 against Midian? 6229 And they contended 0000 with him 2394 sharply,
8:2 [cbb5] 基甸對他們說、我所行的豈能比你們所行的呢．以法蓮拾取剩下的葡萄、不強過亞比以謝所摘的葡萄麼。
    [kjv] And he said unto them, What have I done now in comparison of you? Is not the gleaning of the grapes of Ephraim better than the vintage of Abiezer?
    [strongs] 0559 And he said 0000 to them, 0000 What 6213 have I done 6258 now 0000 like you? 3808 Is not 2896 better 5955 the gleanings of 0669 Ephraim 1288 than the vintage of 0044 Abiezar?
8:3 [cbb5] 　神已將米甸人的兩個首領、俄立和西伊伯、交在你們手中．我所行的、豈能比你們所行的呢．基甸說了這話、以法蓮人的怒氣就消了。
    [kjv] God hath delivered into your hands the princes of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb: and what was I able to do in comparison of you? Then their anger was abated toward him, when he had said that.
    [strongs] 3027 into your hand 5414 has given 0430 God 8269 the rulers of 4080 Midian, 6159 Oreb, 2062 and Zeeb, 0000 and what 3201 was I able 6213 to do 0000 like you? 0227 Then 7503 calmed down 7307 their spirit 0000 toward him, 1696 when he said 1697 word 2088 this.
8:4 [cbb5] 基甸和跟隨他的三百人、到約但河過渡、雖然疲乏、還是追趕。
    [kjv] And Gideon came to Jordan, and passed over, he, and the three hundred men that were with him, faint, yet pursuing them.

8:5 [cbb5] 基甸對疏割人說、求你們拿餅來給跟隨我的人喫．因為他們疲乏了、我們追趕米甸人的兩個王西巴和撒慕拿。
    [kjv] And he said unto the men of Succoth, Give, I pray you, loaves of bread unto the people that follow me; for they be faint, and I am pursuing after Zebah and Zalmunna, kings of Midian.
    [strongs] 0559 And he said 0376 to the men of 5523 Succoth, 5414 give 4994 Please 3603 loaves of 3899 bread 5971 to the people 0000 who {are} 7272 at my feet, 0000 because 5889 weary 0000 they {are} 0595 and I 7291 {am} chasing 0310 after 2078 Zebah 6759 and Zelmunna, 4428 the kings of 4080 Midian.
8:6 [cbb5] 疏割人的首領回答說、西巴和撒慕拿已經在你手裡、你使我們將餅給你的軍兵麼．
    [kjv] And the princes of Succoth said, Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in thine hand, that we should give bread unto thine army?
    [strongs] 0559 And said, 8269 the rulers of 5523 Succoth 3709 {Is} the palm of 2078 Zebah 6759 and Zalmunna 6258 now 3027 in your hand, 5414 that we should give 6635 to your army 3899 bread?
8:7 [cbb5] 基甸說、耶和華將西巴和撒慕拿交在我手之後、我就用野地的荊條和枳棘打傷你們。
    [kjv] And Gideon said, Therefore when the LORD hath delivered Zebah and Zalmunna into mine hand, then I will tear your flesh with the thorns of the wilderness and with briers.
    [strongs] 0559 And said 1439 Gideon, 3615 Therefore, 5414 when has given 3068 Yahweh 2078 Zebah 0000 and 6759 Zalmunna 3027 into my hand, 1758 I will thresh 1320 your flesh 6975 with thorns of 4057 the desert 0000 and with 1303 briers.

    [kjv] And he went up thence to Penuel, and spake unto them likewise: and the men of Penuel answered him as the men of Succoth had answered him.

    [kjv] And he spake also unto the men of Penuel, saying, When I come again in peace, I will break down this tower.

8:10 [cbb5] 那時西巴和撒慕拿、並跟隨他們的軍隊都在加各、約有一萬五千人、就是東方人全軍所剩下的．已經被殺約有十二萬拿刀的。
    [kjv] Now Zebah and Zalmunna were in Karkor, and their hosts with them, about fifteen thousand men, all that were left of all the hosts of the children of the east: for there fell an hundred and twenty thousand men that drew sword.
    [strongs] 2078 And Zebah 6759 and Zalmunnah {were} 3174 in Karkor, 4264 and their armies 0000 with them, 5568 about 6240 fifteen 0505 thousand, 3605 all 3498 who were left 3605 all of 4264 the army of 1121 the sons of 6924 the east; 5397 and those who fell {were} 3967 a hundred 6242 and twenty 0505 thousand 0376 men 8025 drawing 2719 sword.
8:11 [cbb5] 基甸就由挪巴和約比哈東邊、從住帳棚人的路上去、殺敗了米甸人的軍兵．因為他們坦然無懼。
    [kjv] And Gideon went up by the way of them that dwelt in tents on the east of Nobah and Jogbehah, and smote the host; for the host was secure.
    [strongs] 5927 And up went 1439 Gideon 1870 the way of 3427 those living 0168 in tents, 6924 on the east 5025 of Nobah 3011 and Jobehah 5221 and struck 4264 the army, 4264 because the army 1961 was {sitting} 0983 securely.
8:12 [cbb5] 西巴和撒慕拿逃跑．基甸追趕他們、捉住米甸的二王西巴和撒慕拿、驚散全軍。
    [kjv] And when Zebah and Zalmunna fled, he pursued after them, and took the two kings of Midian, Zebah and Zalmunna, and discomfited all the host.
    [strongs] 5127 And ran away 2078 Zebah 6759 and Zalmunna, 7291 and he chased 0310 after them 3920 and captured 8147 the two 4428 kings of 4080 Midian, 2078 Zebah 0000 and 6759 Zalmunna. 3605 And all 4264 the army 2729 he caused to tremble.
8:13 [cbb5] 約阿施的兒子基甸、由希列斯坡從陣上回來、
    [kjv] And Gideon the son of Joash returned from battle before the sun was up,
    [strongs] 7725 And returned 1439 Gideon, 1121 the son of 3101 Joash, 4480 from 4421 the battle, 4608 at the ascent of 2376 Heres.
8:14 [cbb5] 捉住疏割的一個少年人、問他疏割的首領長老是誰．他就將首領長老七十七個人的名字寫出來。
    [kjv] And caught a young man of the men of Succoth, and enquired of him: and he described unto him the princes of Succoth, and the elders thereof, even threescore and seventeen men.
    [strongs] 3920 And he captured 3206 a young man 0376 of the men of 5523 Succoth, 7592 and questioned him, 3789 and he wrote 0000 to him 8269 the rulers of 5523 Succoth, 0000 and 2205 its elders, 7657 seventy- 7651 and seven 0376 men.
8:15 [cbb5] 基甸到了疏割、對那裡的人說、你們從前譏誚我說、西巴和撒慕拿已經在你手裡、你使我們將餅給跟隨你的疲乏人麼．現在西巴和撒慕拿在這裡。
    [kjv] And he came unto the men of Succoth, and said, Behold Zebah and Zalmunna, with whom ye did upbraid me, saying, Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in thine hand, that we should give bread unto thy men that are weary?
    [strongs] 0935 And he came in 0413 to 0376 the men of 5523 Succoth, 0559 and said, 2009 Look, 2078 Zebah, 6759 and Zalmunna, 0000 {about} whom 2978 you taunted 0000 me, 0559 saying, 3709 {Is} the palm of 2078 Zebah 6759 and Zalmunna 6258 now 3027 in your hand 5414 that we should give 0376 your men 5889 weary 3899 bread?
8:16 [cbb5] 於是捉住那城內的長老、用野地的荊條和枳棘責打〔原文作指教〕疏割人。
    [kjv] And he took the elders of the city, and thorns of the wilderness and briers, and with them he taught the men of Succoth.
    [strongs] 3947 And he took 2205 the elders of 5892 the city, 0000 and 6975 the thorns of 4057 the desert, 0000 and 1303 the briers, 3045 and taught 0000 with them 0376 the men of 5523 Succoth.
8:17 [cbb5] 又拆了毘努伊勒的樓、殺了那城裡的人。
    [kjv] And he beat down the tower of Penuel, and slew the men of the city.
    [strongs] 4026 And the tower of 6439 Penuel 5422 he broke down 2026 and killed 0376 the men of 5892 the city.
8:18 [cbb5] 基甸問西巴和撒慕拿說、你們在他泊山所殺的人是甚麼樣式．回答說、他們好像你、各人都有王子的樣式。
    [kjv] Then said he unto Zebah and Zalmunna, What manner of men were they whom ye slew at Tabor? And they answered, As thou art, so were they; each one resembled the children of a king.
    [strongs] 0559 And he said 0413 to 2078 Zebah 0000 and to 6759 Zalmunna, 0375 How {were} 0376 the men 0834 whom 2026 you killed 8396 in Tabor? 0559 And they said, 3644 As you {are} 0000 so {were} they 0259 {each} one 8389 in form as 1121 sons 4428 a king's.
8:19 [cbb5] 基甸說、他們是我同母的弟兄．我指著永生的耶和華起誓、你們從前若存留他們的性命、我如今就不殺你們了。
    [kjv] And he said, They were my brethren, even the sons of my mother: as the LORD liveth, if ye had saved them alive, I would not slay you.
    [strongs] 0559 And he said, 0251 My brothers, 1121 sons of 0517 my mother 1992 They {were}. 3416 As lives 3068 Yahweh, 3863 if only 2416 you had kept alive 0000 them, 3808 not 2026 I would kill 0000 you.
8:20 [cbb5] 於是對他的長子益帖說、你起來殺他們。但益帖因為是童子、害怕、不敢拔刀。
    [kjv] And he said unto Jether his firstborn, Up, and slay them. But the youth drew not his sword: for he feared, because he was yet a youth.
    [strongs] 0559 And he said 3500 to Jether, 1060 his firstborn, 6965 Rise up, 2026 kill 0000 them! 3808 But not 8025 did draw 5288 the young man 2719 his sword, 0000 because 3372 he was afraid, 0000 because 5750 he {was} still 5288 a youth.
8:21 [cbb5] 西巴和撒慕拿說、你自己起來殺我們罷．因為人如何、力量也是如何。基甸就起來、殺了西巴和撒慕拿、奪獲他們駱駝項上戴的月牙圈。
    [kjv] Then Zebah and Zalmunna said, Rise thou, and fall upon us: for as the man is, so is his strength. And Gideon arose, and slew Zebah and Zalmunna, and took away the ornaments that were on their camels' necks.
    [strongs] 0559 And said 2078 Zebah 6759 and Zalmunna, 6965 rise up 0000 You 5307 and fall 0000 on us, 0000 because 0376 as the man {is}, 1369 so {is} his strength. 6965 And rose up 1439 Gideon 2026 and killed 2078 Zebah 0000 and 6759 Zalmunna, 3947 and took 7720 the moon crescents 0834 which {were} 6677 on the necks of 1581 their camels.
8:22 [cbb5] 以色列人對基甸說、你既救我們脫離米甸人的手、願你和你的兒孫管理我們。
    [kjv] Then the men of Israel said unto Gideon, Rule thou over us, both thou, and thy son, and thy son's son also: for thou hast delivered us from the hand of Midian.
    [strongs] 0559 And said 0376 the men of 3478 Israel 0413 to 1439 Gideon 7287 rule 0000 over us, 0000 both you 0000 and 1121 your son, 0000 and 1121 son 1121 your son's, 0000 because 3467 you have delivered us 3022 from the hand of 4080 Midian.
8:23 [cbb5] 基甸說、我不管理你們、我的兒子也不管理你們．惟有耶和華管理你們。
    [kjv] And Gideon said unto them, I will not rule over you, neither shall my son rule over you: the LORD shall rule over you.
    [strongs] 0559 And said 0000 to them 1439 Gideon, 3808 not 4910 will rule 0589 I 0000 over you, 3808 and not 4910 will rule 1121 my son 0000 over you. 3068 Yahweh 4910 will rule 0000 over you.
8:24 [cbb5] 基甸又對他們說、我有一件事求你們．請你們各人將所奪的耳環給我．原來仇敵是以實瑪利人、都是戴金耳環的。
    [kjv] And Gideon said unto them, I would desire a request of you, that ye would give me every man the earrings of his prey. (For they had golden earrings, because they were Ishmaelites.)
    [strongs] 0559 And said 0000 to them 1439 Gideon, 7592 Let me ask 0000 of you 7596 a request, 5414 that give 0000 to me 0376 each man 5141 a ring from 7998 his spoil, 5141 because rings of 2091 gold 0000 they had, 3588 because 3459 Ishmaelites 1992 they {were}.
8:25 [cbb5] 他們說、我們情願給你．就鋪開一件外衣、各人將所奪的耳環丟在其上。
    [kjv] And they answered, We will willingly give them. And they spread a garment, and did cast therein every man the earrings of his prey.
    [strongs] 0559 And they said, 0552 Truly 5414 we will give. 6566 And they spread 8071 a garment 7993 and threw in 8033 there 0376 each 5141 a ring from 7998 his spoil.
8:26 [cbb5] 基甸所要出來的金耳環、重一千七百舍客勒金子．此外還有米甸王所戴的月環、耳墜、和所穿的紫色衣服、並駱駝項上的金鍊子。
    [kjv] And the weight of the golden earrings that he requested was a thousand and seven hundred shekels of gold; beside ornaments, and collars, and purple raiment that was on the kings of Midian, and beside the chains that were about their camels' necks.
    [strongs] 1961 And was 4943 the weight of 5141 the rings of 2091 gold 0834 which 7592 he asked 0505 a thousand 7651 and seven 3967 hundred {shekels} 2091 of gold, 0905 apart 4480 from 7720 the crescents 5188 and the pendants, 0899 and the clothing 0713 purple 0000 that {was} on 4428 the kings of 4080 Midian, 0905 and apart 4480 from 6060 the necklaces 0000 that {were} 6677 on the necks of 1581 their camels.
8:27 [cbb5] 基甸以此製造了一個以弗得、設立在本城俄弗拉．後來以色列人拜那以弗得行了邪淫．這就作了基甸和他全家的網羅。
    [kjv] And Gideon made an ephod thereof, and put it in his city, even in Ophrah: and all Israel went thither a whoring after it: which thing became a snare unto Gideon, and to his house.
    [strongs] 6213 And made 0000 of it 1439 Gideon 0646 an ephod 3322 and put 0000 it 5892 in his city 6084 even in Ophrah. 2181 And whored 3605 all 3478 Israel 0310 after it 8033 there. 1961 And it became 1439 to Gideon 1004 and to his household 4170 a trap.
8:28 [cbb5] 這樣、米甸人被以色列人制伏了、不敢再抬頭．基甸還在的日子國中太平四十年。
    [kjv] Thus was Midian subdued before the children of Israel, so that they lifted up their heads no more. And the country was in quietness forty years in the days of Gideon.
    [strongs] 3665 And was subdued 4080 Midian 6440 in front of 1121 the sons of 3478 Israel, 3808 and not 3254 again they 5375 lifted up 7218 their heads. 8252 And had rest 0776 the land 0705 forty 8141 years 3117 in the days of 1439 Gideon.
8:29 [cbb5] 約阿施的兒子耶路巴力回去、住在自己家裡。
    [kjv] And Jerubbaal the son of Joash went and dwelt in his own house.
    [strongs] 1980 And went 3378 Jerubbaal, 1121 the son of, 3101 Joash, 3427 and lived 1004 in his own house.
8:30 [cbb5] 基甸有七十個親生的兒子．因為他有許多的妻。
    [kjv] And Gideon had threescore and ten sons of his body begotten: for he had many wives.
    [strongs] 1439 And to Gideon 1961 were {born} 7657 seventy 1121 sons 5927 coming out of 3409 his body, 0000 because 0802 wives 7727 many 1961 were to him.
8:31 [cbb5] 他的妾住在示劍、也給他生了一個兒子．基甸與他起名叫亞比米勒。
    [kjv] And his concubine that was in Shechem, she also bare him a son, whose name he called Abimelech.
    [strongs] 0519 And his concubine, 0000 who {was} 7927 in Shechem, 3205 bore 0000 to him, 0000 even she, 5414 and he gave 8034 his name 0040 Abimelech.
8:32 [cbb5] 約阿施的兒子基甸、年紀老邁而死、葬在亞比以謝族的俄弗拉、在他父親約阿施的墳墓裡。
    [kjv] And Gideon the son of Joash died in a good old age, and was buried in the sepulchre of Joash his father, in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.
    [strongs] 4191 And died 1439 Gideon, 1121 the son of 3101 Joash, 7872 in a old age 2896 good, 6912 and was buried 4918 in the burial place of 3101 Joash, 0001 his father, 6084 in Ophrah {of} 0044 the Abiezrites.
8:33 [cbb5] 基甸死後、以色列人又去隨從諸巴力行邪淫、以巴力比利土為他們的神。
    [kjv] And it came to pass, as soon as Gideon was dead, that the children of Israel turned again, and went a whoring after Baalim, and made Baalberith their god.
    [strongs] 1961 And it was 0834 when 4191 {was} dead 1439 Gideon, 8147 that again 1121 the sons of 3478 Israel 2181 whored 0310 after 1168 the Baals, 7760 and appointed 0000 for themselves 0470 Baalberith 0430 as a god.
8:34 [cbb5] 以色列人不記念耶和華他們的　神、就是拯救他們脫離四圍仇敵之手的．
    [kjv] And the children of Israel remembered not the LORD their God, who had delivered them out of the hands of all their enemies on every side:

8:35 [cbb5] 也不照著耶路巴力、就是基甸向他們所施的恩惠、厚待他的家。
    [kjv] Neither shewed they kindness to the house of Jerubbaal, namely, Gideon, according to all the goodness which he had shewed unto Israel.
    [strongs] 3808 And not 6213 did deal 2671 with kindness 1004 with the household of 3378 Jerubbaal 1439 Gideon, 3605 according to all 2896 the good 0834 which 6213 he did 0000 with 3478 Israel.
