“凡父所赐给我的人必到我这里来;到我这里来的,我总不丢弃他”(约6:37)。{FH.41.1}
耶稣住在我们中间时,祂自己是常常祷告的。祂传道服务时每行一件事之前,都先祷告,祷告也使祂所行的每一件事成为圣洁。……{FH.41.2}
祂从与天父交通之中得到安慰和快乐。我们的救主、上帝的圣子,尚且觉得必须祷告,我们软弱负罪必死的人,岂不更当觉得必须不住地切心祷告吗?……{FH.41.3}
不要因为你犯了错误,你的生活由于过失而暗淡,就以为你的天父就不爱你,不听你的祷告了。……祂的爱心同情我们的忧伤,甚至我们还没说出口,祂就已经动了慈心。……没有什么大事是祂承受不了的,因为祂托住诸世界,治理宇宙的一切事务。也没有什么与我们平安有关的事,在祂看来是微不足道的。在我们的历史中,没有一页是黑暗到祂不愿意阅读的。也没有什么烦恼是祂难以解开的。不论人是如何堕落,何等卑劣,没有不能从基督那里获得拯救的。……{FH.41.4}
我们如果常将主摆在面前,让我们的心不断地向祂表示感谢和赞美,我们的宗教生活就会常具有新的气象。我们的祈祷要采取与上帝谈话的方式,如同与朋友谈心一样。祂要亲自将祂的奥秘告诉我们。我们便会时常获得耶稣与我们同在的甜蜜愉快的感觉。……{FH.41.5}
我们竟能有效地祷告,不配而常犯错误的必死之人竟拥有向上帝提出要求的权力,这是多么奇妙的事啊!我们还能要求什么比与无限的上帝相联系更高的权利呢?软弱有罪的人竟有权与他的创造主谈话。他们说话竟上达于宇宙大君的宝座。……{FH.41.6}
环绕宝座的彩虹乃是上帝信实的保证。在衪并没有改变,也没有转动的影儿。……当我们来到衪面前承认自己的不配与罪恶之时,衪已担保衪自己要垂听我们的呼吁,并将衪宝座的尊荣,作为实行衪对我们所说之话的保证。——《时兆》,1902年6月18日。{FH.41.7}
God Will Not Turn Away From You, January 29
All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.?John 6:37.?{FH 41.1}[1] Jesus Himself, while He dwelt among us, was often in prayer. Prayer went before and sanctified every act of His ministry....?{FH 41.2}[2]
He found comfort and joy in communion with His Father. And if our Savior, the Son of God, felt the need of prayer, how much more should feeble, sinful mortals feel the necessity of fervent, constant prayer....?{FH 41.3}[3]
Do not entertain the thought that because you have made mistakes, because your life has been darkened by errors, your Heavenly Father does not love you and will not hear you when you pray.... His heart of love is touched by our sorrows, and even by our utterance of them.... Nothing is too great for Him to bear, for He holds up worlds, He rules over the affairs of the universe. Nothing that in any way concerns our peace is too small for Him to notice. There is no chapter in our experience too dark for Him to read; there is no perplexity too difficult for Him to unravel. None have fallen so low, none are so vile, that they cannot find deliverance in Christ....?{FH 41.4}[4]
If we keep the Lord ever before us, allowing our hearts to go out in thanksgiving and praise to Him, we shall have a continual freshness in our religious life. Our prayers will take the form of conversation with God, as we would talk with a friend. He will speak His mysteries to us personally. Often there will come to us a sweet, joyful sense of the presence of Jesus....?{FH 41.5}[5]
How wonderful it is that we can pray effectually, that unworthy, erring mortals possess the power of offering their requests to God. What higher power can we require than this—to be linked with the infinite God? Feeble, sinful people have the privilege of speaking to their Maker. They utter words that reach the throne of the Monarch of the universe....?{FH 41.6}[6
] The rainbow about the throne is an assurance that God is true, that in Him is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.... When we come to Him confessing our unworthiness and sin, He has pledged Himself to give heed to our cry. The honor of His throne is staked for the fulfillment of His Word unto us.—Signs of the Times, June 18, 1902.?{FH 41.7}[7]
