    [niv] It was I who taught Ephraim to walk, taking them by the arms; but they did not realize it was I who healed them.

    [niv] I led them with cords of human kindness, with ties of love; I lifted the yoke from their neck and bent down to feed them.
    [asv] I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love; and I was to them as they that lift up the yoke on their jaws; and I laid food before them.

    [niv] My people are determined to turn from me. Even if they call to the Most High, he will by no means exalt them.
    [asv] And my people are bent on backsliding from me: though they call them to him that is on high, none at all will exalt him.

    [niv] "How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I hand you over, Israel? How can I treat you like Admah? How can I make you like Zeboiim? My heart is changed within me; all my compassion is aroused.
    [asv] How shall I give thee up, Ephraim? how shall I cast thee off, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? how shall I set thee as Zeboiim? my heart is turned within me, my compassions are kindled together.
    [jnd] How shall I give thee over, Ephraim? shall I deliver thee up, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? shall I set thee as Zeboim? My heart is turned within me, my repentings are kindled together.

11:9 [cbgb] 我必不发猛烈的怒气,也不再毁灭以法莲,因我是 神,并非世人,是你们中间的圣者,我必不在怒中临到你们。 < | >
    [niv] I will not carry out my fierce anger, nor will I turn and devastate Ephraim. For I am God, and not man-- the Holy One among you. I will not come in wrath.
    [asv] I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee; and I will not come in wrath.
    [jnd] I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not again destroy Ephraim; for I am 鵊od, and not man, -- the Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not come in anger.

    [niv] They will come trembling like birds from Egypt, like doves from Assyria. I will settle them in their homes," declares the LORD.

    [niv] Ephraim has surrounded me with lies, the house of Israel with deceit. And Judah is unruly against God, even against the faithful Holy One.
    [asv] Ephraim compasseth me about with falsehood, and the house of Israel with deceit; but Judah yet ruleth with God, and is faithful with the Holy One.
    [jnd] Ephraim encompasseth me about with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit; but Judah yet walketh with 鵊od, and with the holy things of truth.
