    [niv] "Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They don't wash their hands before they eat!"
    [asv] Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.
    [jnd] Why do thy disciples transgress what has been delivered by the ancients? for they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.
    [kjv] Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.

    [niv] Jesus replied, "And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition?
    [asv] And he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition?
    [jnd] But he answering said to them, Why do *ye* also transgress the commandment of God on account of your traditional teaching?
    [kjv] But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?

    [rsv] He answered them, "And why do you transgress the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?
    [web] . He answered them, "Why do you also disobey the commandment of God because of your tradition?
    [ylt] And he answering said to them, `Wherefore also do ye transgress the command of God because of your tradition?
    [bbe] And in answer he said to them, Why do you, yourselves, go against the word of God on account of the teaching which has been handed down to you?
15:4 [cbgb]  神说,当孝敬父母。又说,咒骂父母的,必治死他。 < | >
    [niv] For God said, `Honor your father and mother' and `Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.'
    [asv] For God said, Honor thy father and thy mother: and, He that speaketh evil of father or mother, let him die the death.
    [jnd] For God commanded saying, Honour father and mother; and, He that speaks ill of father or mother, let him die the death.
    [kjv] For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.
    [nwb] For God commanded, saying, Honor thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.
    [rsv] For God commanded, 'Honor your father and your mother,' and, 'He who speaks evil of father or mother, let him surely die.'
    [web] For God commanded, 'Honor your father and your mother,' and, 'He who speaks evil of father or mother, let him be put to death.'
    [ylt] for God did command, saying, Honour thy father and mother; and, He who is speaking evil of father or mother -- let him die the death;
    [bbe] For God said, Give honour to your father and mother: and, He who says evil of father or mother will be put to death.
15:5 [cbgb] 你们倒说,无论何人对父母说,我所当奉给你的,已经作了供献。 < | >
    [niv] But you say that if a man says to his father or mother, `Whatever help you might otherwise have received from me is a gift devoted to God,'
    [asv] But ye say, whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, That wherewith thou mightest have been profited by me is given to God;
    [jnd] But *ye* say, Whosoever shall say to his father or mother, It is a gift, whatsoever by which from me thou wouldest be profited:
    [kjv] But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me;
    [nwb] But ye say, Whoever shall say to father or mother, a gift, by whatever thou mightest be profited by me;
    [rsv] But you say, 'If any one tells his father or his mother, What you would have gained from me is given to God, he need not honor his father.'
    [web] But you say, 'Whoever will tell his father or his mother, "Whatever help you might otherwise have gotten from me is a gift devoted to God,"
    [ylt] but ye say, Whoever may say to father or mother, An offering whatever thou mayest be profited by me; --
    [bbe] But you say, If a man says to his father or his mother, That by which you might have had profit from me is given to God;
15:6 [cbgb] 他就可以不孝敬父母。这就是你们藉着遗传,废了 神的诫命。 < | >
    [niv] he is not to `honor his father ' with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition.
    [asv] he shall not honor his father. And ye have made void the word of God because of your tradition.
    [jnd] and he shall in no wise honour his father or his mother; and ye have made void the commandment of God on account of your traditional teaching.
    [kjv] And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.
    [nwb] And honor not his father or his mother, . Thus have ye made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition.
    [rsv] So, for the sake of your tradition, you have made void the word of God.
    [web] he will not honor his father or mother.' You have made the commandment of God void because of your tradition.
    [ylt] and he may not honour his father or his mother, and ye did set aside the command of God because of your tradition.
    [bbe] There is no need for him to give honour to his father. And you have made the word of God without effect because of your teaching.
15:7 [cbgb] 假冒为善的人哪,以赛亚指着你们说的豫言,是不错的。他说, < | >
    [niv] You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you:
    [asv] Ye hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,

    [nwb] hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,
    [rsv] You hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, when he said:

    [ylt] `Hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,
    [bbe] You false ones, well did Isaiah say of you,
15:8 [cbgb] 这百姓用嘴唇尊敬我,心却远离我。 < | >
    [niv] "`These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.
    [asv] This people honoreth me with their lips;  But their heart is far from me.  
    [jnd] This people honour me with the lips, but their heart is far away from me;
    [kjv] This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
    [nwb] This people draw nigh to me with their mouth, and honor me with lips; but their heart is far from me.
    [rsv] 'This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me;
    [web] . 'These people draw near to me with their mouth,And honor me with their lips;But their heart is far from me.
    [ylt] This people doth draw nigh to Me with their mouth, and with the lips it doth honour Me, but their heart is far off from Me;
    [bbe] These people give me honour with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
15:9 [cbgb] 他们将人的吩咐,当作道理教导人,所以拜我也是枉然。 < | >
    [niv] They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.' "
    [asv] But in vain do they worship me,  Teaching as their doctrines the precepts of men.
    [jnd] but in vain do they worship me, teaching teachings commandments of men.
    [kjv] But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
    [nwb] But in vain they do worship me, teaching doctrines the commandments of men.
    [rsv] in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.'"

    [ylt] and in vain do they worship Me, teaching teachings -- commands of men.'
    [bbe] But their worship is to no purpose, while they give as their teaching the rules of men.

    [niv] Jesus called the crowd to him and said, "Listen and understand.

15:11 [cbgb] 入口的不能污秽人,出口的乃能污秽人。 < | >
    [niv] What goes into a man's mouth does not make him `unclean,' but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him `unclean.'"
    [asv] Not that which entereth into the mouth defileth the man; but that which proceedeth out of the mouth, this defileth the man.
    [jnd] Not what enters into the mouth defiles the man; but what goes forth out of the mouth, this defiles the man.
    [kjv] Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.

    [asv] Then came the disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, when they heard this saying?
    [jnd] Then his disciples, coming up, said to him, Dost thou know that the Pharisees, having heard this word, have been offended?
    [kjv] Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?
    [nwb] Then came his disciples, and said to him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended after they heard this saying?
    [rsv] Then the disciples came and said to him, "Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?"
    [web] . Then the disciples came, and said to him, "Do you know that the Pharisees were offended, when they heard this saying?"
    [ylt] Then his disciples having come near, said to him, `Hast thou known that the Pharisees, having heard the word, were stumbled?'
    [bbe] Then the disciples came and said to him, Did you see that the Pharisees were troubled when these words came to their ears?
15:13 [cbgb] 耶稣回答说,凡栽种的物,若不是我父栽种的,必要拔出来。 < | >
    [niv] He replied, "Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots.
    [asv] But he answered and said, Every plant which my heavenly Father planted not, shall be rooted up.
    [jnd] But he answering said, Every plant which my heavenly Father has not planted shall be rooted up.
    [kjv] But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.
    [nwb] But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be extirpated.
    [rsv] He answered, "Every plant which my heavenly Father has not planted will be rooted up.
    [web] . But he answered, "Every plant which my heavenly Father didn't plant will be uprooted.
    [ylt] And he answering said, `Every plant that my heavenly Father did not plant shall be rooted up;
    [bbe] But he said in answer, Every plant which my Father in heaven has not put in the earth, will be taken up by the roots.
15:14 [cbgb] 任凭他们吧。他们是瞎眼领路的。若是瞎子领瞎子,两个人都要掉在坑里。 < | >
    [niv] Leave them; they are blind guides. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit."
    [asv] Let them alone: they are blind guides. And if the blind guide the blind, both shall fall into a pit.
    [jnd] Leave them alone; they are blind leaders of blind: but if blind lead blind, both will fall into a ditch.
    [kjv] Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
    [nwb] Let them alone: they are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leadeth the blind, both will fall into the ditch.

    [niv] "Are you still so dull?" Jesus asked them.
    [asv] And he said, Are ye also even yet without understanding?
    [jnd] But he said, Are *ye* also still without intelligence?

    [nwb] And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding?
    [rsv] And he said, "Are you also still without understanding?

    [bbe] And he said, Are you, like them, still without wisdom?
15:17 [cbgb] 岂不知凡入口的,是运到肚子里,又落在茅厕里麽? < | >
    [niv] "Don't you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body?
    [asv] Perceive ye not, that whatsoever goeth into the mouth passeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
    [jnd] Do ye not yet apprehend, that everything that enters into the mouth finds its way into the belly, and is cast forth into the draught?
    [kjv] Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
    [nwb] Do ye not yet understand, that whatever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
    [rsv] Do you not see that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the stomach, and so passes on?

    [niv] But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man `unclean.'
    [asv] But the things which proceed out of the mouth come forth out of the heart; and they defile the man.
    [jnd] but the things which go forth out of the mouth come out of the heart, and those defile man.
    [kjv] But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.

    [niv] These are what make a man `unclean'; but eating with unwashed hands does not make him `unclean.'"

    [jnd] And Jesus, going forth from thence, went away into the parts of Tyre and Sidon;
    [kjv] Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.
    [nwb] Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the territories of Tyre and Sidon.
    [rsv] And Jesus went away from there and withdrew to the district of Tyre and Sidon.

15:22 [cbgb] 有一个迦南妇人,从那地方出来,喊着说,主啊,大卫的子孙,可怜我。我女儿被鬼附得甚苦。 < | >
    [niv] A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is suffering terribly from demon-possession."
    [asv] And behold, a Canaanitish woman came out from those borders, and cried, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a demon.
    [jnd] and lo, a Canaanitish woman, coming out from those borders, cried saying, Have pity on me, Lord, Son of David; my daughter is miserably possessed by a demon.
    [kjv] And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
    [nwb] And behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same territories, and cried to him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, son of David; my daughter is grievously afflicted with a demon.
    [rsv] And behold, a Canaanite woman from that region came out and cried, "Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David; my daughter is severely possessed by a demon."
    [web] Behold, a Canaanite woman came out from those borders, and cried, saying, "Have mercy on me, Lord, you son of David. My daughter is grievously vexed with a demon."
    [ylt] and lo, a woman, a Canaanitess, from those borders having come forth, did call to him, saying, `Deal kindly with me, Sir -- Son of David; my daughter is miserably demonized.'
    [bbe] And a woman of Canaan came out from those parts, crying and saying, Have pity on me, O Lord, Son of David; my daughter is greatly troubled with an unclean spirit.
15:23 [cbgb] 耶稣一言不答。门徒进前来,求他说,这妇人在我们后头喊叫。请打发他走吧。 < | >
    [niv] Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, "Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us."
    [asv] But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
    [jnd] But he did not answer her a word. And his disciples came to and asked him, saying, Dismiss her, for she cries after us.
    [kjv] But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
    [nwb] But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.

    [niv] He answered, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel."
    [asv] But he answered and said, I was not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
    [jnd] But he answering said, I have not been sent save to the lost sheep of Israel's house.
    [kjv] But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
    [nwb] But he answered and said, I am not sent but to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
    [rsv] He answered, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."
    [web] . But he answered, "I wasn't sent to anyone but the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

    [bbe] But he made answer and said, I was sent only to the wandering sheep of the house of Israel.

    [niv] The woman came and knelt before him. "Lord, help me!" she said.
    [asv] But she came and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
    [jnd] But she came and did him homage, saying, Lord, help me.

    [nwb] Then came she and worshiped him, saying, Lord, help me.

15:26 [cbgb] 他回答说,不好拿儿女的饼,丢给狗吃。 < | >
    [niv] He replied, "It is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to their dogs."
    [asv] And he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread and cast it to the dogs.
    [jnd] But he answering said, It is not well to take the bread of the children and cast it to the dogs.
    [kjv] But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
    [nwb] But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast to dogs.
    [rsv] And he answered, "It is not fair to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs."
    [web] . But he answered, "It is not appropriate to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs."
    [ylt] and he answering said, `It is not good to take the children's bread, and to cast to the little dogs.'
    [bbe] And he made answer and said, It is not right to take the children's bread and give it to the dogs.
