3:2 [cbgb] 天国近了,你们应当悔改。 < | >
    [niv] and saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near."
    [asv] Repent ye; for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
    [jnd] and saying, Repent, for the kingdom of the heavens has drawn nigh.
    [kjv] And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
    [nwb] And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
    [rsv] "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."
    [web] "Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!"
    [ylt] and saying, `Reform, for come nigh hath the reign of the heavens,'
    [bbe] Saying, Let your hearts be turned from sin; for the kingdom of heaven is near.
3:3 [cbgb] 这人就是先知以赛亚所说的,他说,在旷野有人声喊着说,豫备主的道,修直他的路。 < | >
    [niv] This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: "A voice of one calling in the desert, `Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.'"
    [asv] For this is he that was spoken of through Isaiah the prophet, saying,  The voice of one crying in the wilderness,  Make ye ready the way of the Lord,  Make his paths straight.
    [jnd] For this is he who has been spoken of through Esaias the prophet, saying, Voice of him that crieth in the wilderness: prepare ye the way of Lord, make straight his paths.
    [kjv] For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

3:4 [cbgb] 这约翰身穿骆驼毛的衣服,腰束皮带,吃的是蝗虫野蜜。 < | >
    [niv] John's clothes were made of camel's hair, and he had a leather belt around his waist. His food was locusts and wild honey.
    [asv] Now John himself had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his food was locusts and wild honey.
    [jnd] And John himself had his garment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins, and his nourishment was locusts and wild honey.
    [kjv] And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.

    [niv] People went out to him from Jerusalem and all Judea and the whole region of the Jordan.
    [asv] Then went out unto him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about the Jordan;
    [jnd] Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the country round the Jordan,
    [kjv] Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan,

    [niv] Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River.
    [asv] and they were baptized of him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.

3:7 [cbgb] 约翰看见许多法利赛人和撒都该人,也来受洗,就对他们说,毒蛇的种类,谁指示你们逃避将来的忿怒呢? < | >
    [niv] But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to where he was baptizing, he said to them: "You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?
    [asv] But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said unto them, Ye offspring of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
    [jnd] But seeing many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, Offspring of vipers, who has forewarned you to flee from the coming wrath?
    [kjv] But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
    [nwb] But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said to them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
    [rsv] But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sad'ducees coming for baptism, he said to them, "You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
    [web] But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming for his baptism, he said to them, "You offspring of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
    [ylt] And having seen many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming about his baptism, he said to them, `Brood of vipers! who did shew you to flee from the coming wrath?
    [bbe] But when he saw a number of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, Offspring of snakes, at whose word are you going in flight from the wrath to come?
3:8 [cbgb] 你们要结出果子来,与悔改的心相称。 < | >
    [niv] Produce fruit in keeping with repentance.
    [asv] Bring forth therefore fruit worthy of repentance:
    [jnd] Produce therefore fruit worthy of repentance.
    [kjv] Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
    [nwb] Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
    [rsv] Bear fruit that befits repentance,
    [web] Therefore bring forth fruit worthy of repentance!

    [bbe] Let your change of heart be seen in your works:
3:9 [cbgb] 不要自己心里说,有亚伯拉罕为我们的祖宗。我告诉你们, 神能从这些石头中给亚伯拉罕兴起子孙来。 < | >
    [niv] And do not think you can say to yourselves, `We have Abraham as our father.' I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham.
    [asv] and think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
    [jnd] And do not think to say within yourselves, We have Abraham for father; for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children to Abraham.
    [kjv] And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

    [ylt] and do not think to say in yourselves, A father we have -- Abraham, for I say to you, that God is able out of these stones to raise children to Abraham,
    [bbe] And say not to yourselves, We have Abraham for our father; because I say to you that God is able from these stones to make children for Abraham.
3:10 [cbgb] 现在斧子已经放在树根上,凡不结好果子的树,就砍下来,丢在火里。 < | >
    [niv] The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.
    [asv] And even now the axe lieth at the root of the trees: every tree therefore that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
    [jnd] And already the axe is applied to the root of the trees; every tree therefore not producing good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire.
    [kjv] And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
    [nwb] And now also the ax is laid to the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

3:11 [cbgb] 我是用水给你们施洗,叫你们悔改。但那在我以后来的,能力比我更大,我就是给他提鞋,也不配。他要用圣灵与火给你们施洗。 < | >
    [niv] "I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me will come one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.
    [asv] I indeed baptize you in water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you in the Holy Spirit and in fire:
    [jnd] *I* indeed baptise you with water to repentance, but he that comes after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not fit to bear; *he* shall baptise you with Holy Spirit and fire;
    [kjv] I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
    [nwb] I indeed baptize you with water to repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit, and fire:
    [rsv] "I baptize you with water for repentance, but he who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry; he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.

    [bbe] Truly, I give baptism with water to those of you whose hearts are changed; but he who comes after me is greater than I, whose shoes I am not good enough to take up: he will give you baptism with the Holy Spirit and with fire:
3:12 [cbgb] 他手里拿着簸箕,要扬净他的场,把麦子收在仓里,把糠用不灭的火烧尽了。 < | >
    [niv] His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire."
    [asv] whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly cleanse his threshing-floor; and he will gather his wheat into the garner, but the chaff he will burn up with unquenchable fire.
    [jnd] whose winnowing fan in his hand, and he shall thoroughly purge his threshing-floor, and shall gather his wheat into the garner, but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.
    [kjv] Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
    [nwb] Whose fan in his hand, and he will thoroughly cleanse his floor, and gather his wheat into the granary; but he will burn the chaff with unquenchable fire.
    [rsv] His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor and gather his wheat into the granary, but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire."

    [ylt] whose fan in his hand, and he will thoroughly cleanse his floor, and will gather his wheat to the storehouse, but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.'
    [bbe] In whose hand is the instrument with which he will make clean his grain; he will put the good grain in his store, but the waste will be burned up in the fire which will never be put out.
3:13 [cbgb] 当下,耶稣从加利利来到约但河,见了约翰,要受他的洗。 < | >
    [niv] Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John.
    [asv] Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to the Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.
    [jnd] Then comes Jesus from Galilee to the Jordan to John, to be baptised of him;
    [kjv] Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.

    [niv] But John tried to deter him, saying, "I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?"
    [asv] But John would have hindered him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?
    [jnd] but John urgently forbad him, saying, *I* have need to be baptised of thee; and comest *thou* to me?
    [kjv] But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?
    [nwb] But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized by thee, and comest thou to me?
    [rsv] John would have prevented him, saying, "I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?"
    [web] But John would have hindered him, saying, "I need to be baptized by you, and you come to me?"
    [ylt] but John was forbidding him, saying, `I have need by thee to be baptized -- and thou dost come unto me!'
    [bbe] But John would have kept him back, saying, It is I who have need of baptism from you, and do you come to me?
3:15 [cbgb] 耶稣回答说,你暂且许我。因为我们理当这样尽诸般的义。(或作礼)于是约翰许了他。 < | >
    [niv] Jesus replied, "Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness." Then John consented.
    [asv] But Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffereth him.
    [jnd] But Jesus answering said to him, Suffer now; for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffers him.
    [kjv] And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
    [nwb] And Jesus answering said to him, Suffer now: for thus it becometh us to fulfill all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
    [rsv] But Jesus answered him, "Let it be so now; for thus it is fitting for us to fulfil all righteousness." Then he consented.
    [web] . But Jesus, answering, said to him, "Allow it now, for this is the fitting way for us to fulfill all righteousness." Then he allowed him.
    [ylt] But Jesus answering said to him, `Suffer now, for thus it is becoming to us to fulfill all righteousness,' then he doth suffer him.
    [bbe] But Jesus made answer, saying to him, Let it be so now: because so it is right for us to make righteousness complete. Then he gave him baptism.
3:16 [cbgb] 耶稣受了洗,随既从水里上来。天忽然为他开了,就看见 神的灵,彷佛鸽子降下,落在他身上。 < | >
    [niv] As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him.
    [asv] And Jesus when he was baptized, went up straightway from the water: and lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, and coming upon him;
    [jnd] And Jesus, having been baptised, went up straightway from the water, and lo, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, and coming upon him:
    [kjv] And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
    [nwb] And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up immediately out of the water: and lo, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
    [rsv] And when Jesus was baptized, he went up immediately from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and alighting on him;
    [web] Jesus, when he was baptized, went up directly from the water: and behold, the heavens were opened to him. He saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, and coming on him.
    [ylt] And having been baptized, Jesus went up immediately from the water, and lo, opened to him were the heavens, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, and coming upon him,
    [bbe] And Jesus, having been given baptism, straight away went up from the water; and, the heavens opening, he saw the Spirit of God coming down on him as a dove;
3:17 [cbgb] 从天上有声音说,这是我的爱子,我所喜悦的。 <
    [niv] And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."
    [asv] and lo, a voice out of the heavens, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
    [jnd] and behold, a voice out of the heavens saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I have found my delight.
    [kjv] And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
    [nwb] And lo, a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
    [rsv] and lo, a voice from heaven, saying, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased."
    [web] Behold, a voice out of the heavens said, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
    [ylt] and lo, a voice out of the heavens, saying, `This is My Son -- the Beloved, in whom I did delight.'
    [bbe] And a voice came out of heaven, saying, This is my dearly loved Son, with whom I am well pleased.
